I used to really enjoy this place, but unfortunately, my recent experience was disappointing. A number of key items from our order were missing — most of the chicken we ordered for the salads wasn’t included, the Waldorf salad didn’t have any walnuts, and some of the sides of potato and pasta salad we ordered never made it into the bag.

It’s also worth noting that since the new management took over, they no longer include the cinnamon honey butter with the bread, which used to be a favorite touch. On top of that, the salads that did come with chicken were noticeably smaller — probably about a third of the portion size they used to be.

I hope they take this feedback to heart, because this used to be a reliable spot with generous portions and attention to detail. Sadly, that’s no longer the case.

That said, the staff who took our order and delivered it were absolutely lovely — friendly, polite, and professional. It’s unfortunate that the quality and attention to detail in the food hasn’t kept up with the level of service.

Their box lunches are amazing ? recommend them for all occasions.

Great option for a catered event!

Amazing, fresh, all the little details you can imagine from the sauces, dressings, cookies and little desserts added. Love you guys!

I work at a hospital and for social worker month, my department was sent lunch catered by Apple Spice Box. We were sent chicken, mixed veggies, a red potatoes, salad, and bread. The chicken arrived burnt, the potatoes only had rosemary on them and were not fully cooked, and the veggies were steamed with no seasoning. It was not an appealing lunch at all in my humble opinion. But the one star is mainly for the burnt chicken, but the veggies and a salad were O and K. Definitely not a good representation of any catering company.

Great option for a catered event!

I ordered for a group from this spot. I ordered for delivery and everything arrived on time. For myself I ordered the vegetable sandwich with cucumbers, mushrooms, tomatoes etc. I asked for the sandwich to not have cheese. When I got a chance to eat, low and behold, the sandwich had cheese which I had to remove. Besides that the sandwich was very tasty. I really liked the pesto mayo, mayo and mustard combo on the sandwich and the bread had a semisweet taste. All in all I had a good experience minus the cheese.

Apple Spice saved our day! When we were looking to cater food for our small socially responsible wedding in July, we were hoping to do it in the safest way possible. We spoke to Jim at Apple Spice in Parsippany, and he recommended the best options to choose from. He promised individual packaging of the entrees, and he delivered. He was also accommodating of our vegetarian options.Our food arrived on time, was professionally set up and, most importantly, it tasted great! Our guests were happy and safe.Thank you Apple Spice!
