We went to Honest for a dinner, we had mango lassi for my two kids and idli. We had aloo tikki for myself and pav bhaji.
I called out the restaurant ppl that aloo tikki was really bad in taste. Idli was super dry. Unfortunately I fed the idli to my kids a long with mango lassi. ! My younger son vomited while coming back and vomited through the night after that. I would strongly recommend DO NOT go to this restaurant. My kids got FOOD POISONING after eating her.

Great menu with many options. I had a dish from the Indo-Chinese section which was very good, with a nice medium spiciness to it. I will be back.

Worst restaurant. Worst honest. Food was so tasteless. Paubhaji was very bland. Chhole was not at all flavorful. Chinese bhel n bhakhari pizza was very sweet . Noodles were overcooked, small pieces of it and not as whole long. Uttapam was super thick, felt like frozen and didn’t taste like uttapam at all. Tables, plates, bathrooms were so dirty, without soap and paper towels in it. Really shame for owners and staff who’s running restaurant like this which has such quality food control or hygiene. Won’t recommend it to anyone. I would never go to this place even for free.

New Management is worst. Don’t waste your time and money at this location. The manager is so rude that he argued with me constantly over Jeera rice which I wanted to cancel on a take out order and their phone line was busy and they had already prepared it. Worst customer service ever! The new owner should look for new staff. Both their people at the counters who they refer as Managers have a bad attitude.
Best part was the whole restaurant was 80% vacant and there was just one family sitting with a group of 8 people and I hope they know they will soon be getting dinged and surprised with 20% gratuity they add on all bills for group of 4!! + 3.5% convenience fees for paying by Credit card. I asked the so called “Managers” to just look around and see the empty tables and he started yelling at me that its closing time and what do you expect? I told him with previous management there were people in waiting on the chairs to get a table and it was only 8:25pm on a Sunday evening and they close at 9:30!!
I used to come here very often now will go to Clifton Honest or even Edison as well as you know you will get good food and service. These guys are taking everything for granted, their food quality has deteriorated and they have jacked up the prices and surprise you with all these hidden charges in the end which no one wants to come back here ever again.

**A Hidden Gem with a Heart of Gold**Nestled in the heart of Parsippany, Honest Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience that makes you feel right at home. The warmth of the staff and the authenticity of the cuisine are the true stars here. Each dish we tried was a testament to traditional flavors, prepared with care and served with pride. It’s a place where the food speaks louder than the decor. That said, while the culinary journey is spot on, the interior could use a bit of sprucing up. The charm of old fixtures has its appeal, but a modern update could really enhance the overall ambiance, making this gem shine even brighter.Despite the dated decor, I highly recommend visiting Honest Restaurant for a taste of genuine hospitality and truly delicious meals. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the best experiences come from the simplest places.

I recently stopped at Honest and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.Firstly, the food was absolutely delicious! Each dish was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. I especially appreciated the guidance from the waiter, who helped me choose the perfect meal tailored to my preferences. It made the dining experience even more enjoyable knowing that I was in good hands. The service was top-notch as well. Everyone from the host to the servers was incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout the meal. It's clear that they take pride in providing excellent service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for their guests.Additionally, I loved the ambiance of the restaurant. The music selection added to the overall vibe, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere to dine in. I love that I got all this food for under $20!Overall, my experience at Honest was fantastic, and I can't wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for delicious food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere! Can’t wait to come back.

This is rated one from a 5-star rating that I had.I went to this restaurant few years back and it WAS THE best Indian restaurant in NJ, at least one of the best specially due to its Pav Bhaji, Sandwich, Pizza, and Pulav. However, since I moved pretty far now and Parsipanny is at least hour and a half drive from my place, I stopped going. But had some issue and I go to in that area and went to Parsipanny Honest for lunch and now it jas totally gone bad. Maybe there is new management.Food and service have turned bad no doubt. But also this -I don't usually mind for getting mineral water for additional charge. It's actually fine and everyone, every hotel oit there does it.But all those restaurants even have an option for getting basic water. So, even honest charging for water is fine but the issue is they also have stopped giving basic water. What is this ? Like if we want to drink water (which is a basic human tendency) pay at least one dollar or stay thirsty ?And the bottle they give are at max 20 to 30 cents. And so that's why 1 star for this.I mean charge for water fine but also have basic water available, restaurants are not required to FORCE us to have this mineral water alone. So, if they started doing this, don't know what all 5hings they will start doing. So if you want to enjoy some indian food, there are a lot of options in Parsipanny alone like Dosa House, Chand Palace, sree dosa house etc.... Honest is not at all good and even their service has turned bad.

We had very bad experience today they r not serving regular water because they have some problem. They charge us $1 per water bottle. Actual cost of bottle is 50 cents only but they r charging double amount. Top of that Pavbhaji test was very bad it just test was Garam Masala which v use for regular vegetable. Honest people are not Honest they r making Money from water also??
