I live in New York. Each time I go to Al Basha restaurant, it is a must for me to go and buy Kunafa at this place. It is the best one I have ever tried. Also, bought other sweets, they were delicious. I was reading the reviews and it is sad most of them talk about the bad service. I have never experienced any bad attitude from the people who work there.
This place deserves more credit! Most of the reviews are upset about the parking or a one time bad encounter that isn’t meaningful or consistent. I have been buying sweets from here for years. Owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming, lines are never too long, there are seats to dine in with your desserts or can take it to go pretty quick. If you’re in the mood for Arabic desserts. This is the place to go.Yesterday I made a last minute dash to Al Basha Sweets for the last of the Ramadan dessert Kataif. Madame Mirvaet there was sooo gracious. Prepared & fried them for us in the last 5 minutes before closing. She was so welcoming and embracing in her hospitality. Then she gave me the secrets of her recipe when I lamented to her that my daughter eagerly waits for them every Ramadan. She must have been fasting...
