“The food was easily the best Arab food I’ve had. Ever. The owners were super nice and actually invited us to sit instead of take out, and we got complimentary toum (also best toum I’ve ever had), peppers, pickles, and some sort of Arab bread. The bread was nice and crackly and there was a LOT of it. The toum, unlike other Arab places with toum, was actually light and had that whipped texture that is desired. The garlic flavor was on point and not too overpowering. The star of the show was easily the crispy chicken shawarma, though. It looks small in some videos, but it was wider than my mouth. I had to do some talking to find out myself, but to get the fries, toum, and pickles next to the shawarma, you need to ask for the crispy chicken shawarma combo. It was super crispy, and the breading was very nicely toasted. I kept finding myself layering the top with some pickles, fries, and more toum. They also drizzled some pomegranate molasses on the chicken shawarma, which gave it a tangy but also fruity aftertaste. We also ordered the charcoal chicken and kebab. The kebab, instead of normal beef on a stick, actually came with some yellow rice and some REALLY GOOD spicy seasoned bread that was very soft and moist on some parts and crispy on the others. You could literally see the spice particles on it. The charcoal chicken was juicy, tender, and had that charcoal roasted flavoring. It even came with a bunch of complimentary fries. The fries on both the shawarma and the charcoal chicken was nicely battered, and the shawarma fries were very well seasoned. The only thing is that the bathroom is through a door that leads upstairs, and you have to open two doors. If you’re someone like me and don’t like the feeling of putting grip on things with sticky stuff on your hands, you won’t like that. It’s one of those turn knobs. Finally, the music made me feel like I was actually back in Abu Dhabi watching fire shows while eating falafel. Please visit, they are amazing people who make amazing food!”

“From the moment we walked in, the service at Dulce Patria was incredible. We were warmly welcomed right away, and the ambience is absolutely beautiful with plenty of great spots for photos. Our server, Natasha, was amazing and took the time to explain all their promotions, including a great happy hour menu. We tried the Tussi Roll, Dominican Power, and Cuban Tempora sushi rolls. Each one was full of flavor, and I was honestly impressed by how good they were. My friend ordered the Bad Bunny drink and the Beso de Coco. She enjoyed both, but the coconut one was her favorite and she definitely recommends it for coconut lovers. Parking isn’t the greatest in the area, but this place is absolutely worth the effort to find a spot. Overall, I had a great experience here and will definitely be coming back with more friends.”

“I finally made it to Cocina Papa Andres after seeing all the hype on social media and it absolutely lived up to it. I ordered the chimi de carne de res, and it instantly took me back to the Dominican Republic.
The sauce was spot on, the meat was juicy and full of flavor (not dry at all), and the bread had that perfect texture, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They also nailed the balance with the cabbage.
Hands down, this is the best chimi I’ve had in New Jersey. Honestly, it can compete with some of the best chimis I’ve had in Washington Heights and Dyckman in New York.

“I got there as a recommendation from my sister who said that the food was delicious. We ordered 2 lomo saltados, 1 ruleta de mariscos, 1 papas a la huaicaina. The food was good, not the best lomo salteado but really 9/10, it was really good. My brother in law ordered la ruleta rusa and said it was also good. Why I give it 4/5 stars is mostly because of the service. The waitress had a bit of an attitude. We ordered 2 lomos and one was to share and when we got the order, she brought 3, we said that we ordered 2 and she said “I’m going to take it but you said 3”, we also ordered a pitch of Maracuya juice, she brought Jamaican, and we said it wasn’t right and she said “we don’t have any juices”, again, with an attitude. It might’ve been my impression but my whole party also said that. But she was the only one. There were other two servers who seemed really kind! The music was also a bit loud for my liking, couldn’t hear well our conversation.”

“The food was easily the best Arab food I’ve had. Ever. The owners were super nice and actually invited us to sit instead of take out, and we got complimentary toum (also best toum I’ve ever had), peppers, pickles, and some sort of Arab bread. The bread was nice and crackly and there was a LOT of it. The toum, unlike other Arab places with toum, was actually light and had that whipped texture that is desired. The garlic flavor was on point and not too overpowering. The star of the show was easily the crispy chicken shawarma, though. It looks small in some videos, but it was wider than my mouth. I had to do some talking to find out myself, but to get the fries, toum, and pickles next to the shawarma, you need to ask for the crispy chicken shawarma combo. It was super crispy, and the breading was very nicely toasted. I kept finding myself layering the top with some pickles, fries, and more toum. They also drizzled some pomegranate molasses on the chicken shawarma, which gave it a tangy but also fruity aftertaste. We also ordered the charcoal chicken and kebab. The kebab, instead of normal beef on a stick, actually came with some yellow rice and some REALLY GOOD spicy seasoned bread that was very soft and moist on some parts and crispy on the others. You could literally see the spice particles on it. The charcoal chicken was juicy, tender, and had that charcoal roasted flavoring. It even came with a bunch of complimentary fries. The fries on both the shawarma and the charcoal chicken was nicely battered, and the shawarma fries were very well seasoned. The only thing is that the bathroom is through a door that leads upstairs, and you have to open two doors. If you’re someone like me and don’t like the feeling of putting grip on things with sticky stuff on your hands, you won’t like that. It’s one of those turn knobs. Finally, the music made me feel like I was actually back in Abu Dhabi watching fire shows while eating falafel. Please visit, they are amazing people who make amazing food!”

“The beef Shawarma was simply exceptional. We also tried the chicken Shawarma, which was equally delicious. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant’s atmosphere. “Just Go!!! My family was in New Jersey for a church event and I jus googled a seafood place and this came up. I was skeptical at first since it was 30 minutes to closing but they did not disappoint!!!!! My mom got catfish nuggets, yams and broccoli, I got catfish nuggets yams and mac and cheese !!!! And I got fried fish and sweet potato fries for my son. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing !!! The nuggets were seasoned perfect and a nice portion, the yams were perfectly seasoned and not too sweet. The Mac and cheese was good also!!!! The gave us there house sauce to try I forgot the name but it’s like a cajun maple sauce brown in color and it’s A1 on the fish OMG !!! It was closing time so there wasn’t any other customer but it smelled clean and looked neat. The lady that took our order on the phone was very pleasant and went over the order to insure in was accurate, when I arrived at the restaurant I checked since we were heading back to Long Island andeverything was correct and smelled amazing… if your in the area Go there. I wish I had got the banana pudding to try!!!”
