I’ve been coming here for a while now, and every time the food is amazing. I’ve tried their fried chicken, fish, burgers, sandwiches, platters, and gyros, and everything has been fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly.
I came all the way from Jersey City just for the food because it’s honestly one of the best spots in Paterson. The fried chicken is always crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the portions are generous.

American Fried Chicken is a 24-hour establishment located right on Broadway, next to the BP, offering delicious halal fried chicken options. The chicken is consistently praised for its crispy coating and juicy, tender meat, and many consider it the best in Passaic County. Customers can enjoy a flavorful selection, including drumsticks, wings, and boneless strips, as well as burgers, gyros, and fries, ensuring satisfaction for all.
One of the standout features of American Fried Chicken is its exceptional customer service. The friendly and attentive staff are cool and knowledgeable about the menu, working quickly to bring out the food. The 24-hour availability makes it a convenient option for late-night cravings or quick meals. The drive-thru service is especially noted, as it allows customers to grab their meals and go, although there is no dining inside. However, there have been concerns about the location, as the surrounding neighborhood can feel dangerous and unsettling at times. Despite this, many have praised the restaurant for its cleanliness and great ambience. The mouthwatering fried chicken, with a nice spice that sets it apart, and dedicated customer service make American Fried Chicken a reliable choice for a satisfying meal. Next time, customers may want to try the beef patties and a burger as well.
