“This was my second visit to Tempura Place. It was a Saturday at 3:30pm. I had never eaten any kind of sushi in my 50 years and I decided to dive in here. I've ordered the spicy tuna and the spicy crab. Sense a theme? I guess a total of one person could technically eat-in but this is primarily take-out. I was informed it would take 10 minutes to prepare but it was done before that. I watched Korean Broadcasting Company on the television as I waited. I experienced pleasant service and great food. Waribashi chopsticks were included.”

“My new favorite place for authentic Dominican food! I can’t believe we live like 2 blocks away and never came here before. I do wish there was more seating but hey there was enough for us! The place is clean and the staff is welcoming and respectful. The food was phenomenal! I was ready to go back for dinner. I will definitely become a regular at this place. “I just returned from Costa Rica! Three days later I ran to Tucanes for Costa Rican food! They do not disappoint! Delicious, fresh, authentic and beautifully presented is exactly how to describe my meal! In addition to scrumptious food, TucanesHas a lovely, pristine atmosphere with excellent service. Restrooms are immaculate! I love this place. I went back a week later for another wonderful experience! I am now a regular!”

“We live nearby but had never tried Bici Restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed dining at Bici. Everything was done correctly and well. We wanted to go to a more upscale restaurant and Bici did not disappoint. We plan to return regularly. 5 of 5 stars.”

“Finally visited this neighborhood restaurant last night and it was nicely decorated for Valentine’s Day and they gave all female diners a long stemmed rose. As they were busy, service was slow, which is understandable under the circumstances. The food was very fresh and the eggplant with tomato, creamy hummus, lamb chops and chicken shish were very good, but some dishes were not as flavorful as described by other reviewers and in my experience with this cuisine. (But this is not a deal breaker). I expect it might be even better on a regular night.That said, the high ceilings, exposed brick, comfortable furniture, tasteful Turkish decor and the red and gold paint, created a warm and inviting dining room with lovely background music. Our server was friendly and the owner stopped by to check on us after it began to quiet down. This restaurant is a nice addition to my neighborhood and I look forward to going again soon.”

“This place is fantastic!!! The pasta was to die for! The lamb pizza I’ve been thinking about since I’ve eaten it! The only hiccup was that they were short staffed in the kitchen so we were there for a very long time AND my husbands steak was over cooked. They did more than enough to make it right and were very apologetic. The place is very cute and homey inside. PLUS BYOB! We will be back again that’s for sure !”

“Great vibe. Absolutely LOVE the jazz trio. Food tasted great. Portions are quite small for the price, and the steak was very especially grizzly, unfortunately. Very attentive and well trained staff. Lots of push upselling drinks on the drinks, and they brought bottle water we had to pay for despite asking for tap 3 times. Wonderful wine and cocktails menu. Overall I would recommend for special occasions.”

“Our son recommended Palato’s and for once the kid steered his old man right! Haha. Our waitress was warm, friendly and most helpful with the menu. The owner stopped by our table a few times to check on us and was a very gracious host. Food was nothing short of spectacular from appetizers to entrees to gelato! We went with another couple and we each drove over 30 minutes to get there. Well worth the trip! We can’t recommend Palato Cafe any higher! Don’t miss it!”

“Lovely neighborhood coffee spot in Rutherford. Lots of seatings with artwork on the walls which you can purchase. Bored? Immerse yourself by grabbing a book off the shelf or just stare out the window while being surrounded by plants. Came in the day before Thanksgiving, lots of customers but the efficiency of the barista was impeccable. Manned by one person and kept the customers happy. Lattes and everything croissant was delish. Would definitely return.”

“I am always in the lookout for great pizza places, and this is definitely in my top 5 in NJ. You can’t go wrong here if you are a fan of wood fire neapolitan pizza. My wife found this place on google and the reviews definitely encouraged us to try, and boy I am glad we did. It’s a small, cozy place, but looked like they have options to sit outdoors when the weather gets better. We were welcomed and served with a great smile, which always makes the food taste even better. We tried the Hot honey and a special pizza on their menu with purple potato base. They both were just yummy. The dough - cooked to the right amount of crispness and softness - was just what perfection is. The toppings, cheese, all tasted just fresh and delicious. I am definitely returning to this delightful place serving love in the form of pizza!”

“If you’re from Maharashtra and are tired of substandard pav bhaji and vada pav at every Indian restaurant, then behold - this is the greatest pav bhaji you’ll find in the state.First up - they have the pav that is the closest to what you can get in Maharashtra. Soft and flatter - none of the buffed up nonsense being served up everywhere else.The bhaji itself is excellent and buttery.I’m going to have dreams about this dinner!Highly recommend trying out the gulab jamun as well. It’s made fresh and served hot! Excellent food and thoroughly enjoyed.”

“Pass this place every Monday and finally stopped in. This isn't a grab a pot and pour you a coffee spot. The barista measured and weighed out the coffee and then put it in a filter. She poured the water in and the coffee slow dripped out into the cup. You doctor it yourself with the provided sugar (2 types), honey, milk and half and half. The coffee was very good. Not bitter like some coffee places. Price wise is wasn't crazy expensive ($4.20 for a 20oz cup).”
