Aleppo Restaurant in Paterson's Middle Eastern and Turkish shopping district has been my go-to place for Syrian food for more than 15 years. The small plates and other dishes are as close as I can get to the Syrian specialties my mother, a native of Aleppo, made when I was growing up in Brooklyn. Our lunch there last week included a small bowl of delicious lentil soup, falafel, hummus, muhammara, Arabic Salad and fresh pocket bread. Prices are moderate.

The best Mediterranean place ever. The taboleh, baba ghanouj, hummus, Falafel, kibbeh, and the kebab are the best thing ever is this place. Definitely worth a try. Absolutely recommend this place to anyone who has a good taste of food.
