I’m from Baghdad and this is the only place that really cooks authentic Iraqi food. My husband and I drive from the Hamptons in Long Island to Patterson NJ to eat here. We love the food here.

Checked the reviews, Google says they are open, drove 25 minutes to it only to find out. It is a construction site.

I'm very disappointed with my meal at Almazaq Al Arby. The undercooked, doughy bread was a major problem, and the kebab was nothing special – I've had much better at other Middle Eastern restaurants in
the area. The service was also underwhelming. While a friendly family member took our order, the chef or someone from the kitchen brought out the plates, which I didn't think was very professional. It's surprising, especially considering how many other fantastic Middle Eastern restaurants are nearby. This experience was definitely not worth it, and I won't be returning.

We drove from Manhattan to this location in the snow and felt more than glad to have discovered this amazing gem! This is seemingly a family-owned restaurant of beautifully well-raised Iraqis who prepare authentic Iraqi food and deliver the best Iraq-like experience in the Tristate area. The food was great and the Iraqi tea was superb. So much so, that we’re attempting to replicate the experience at home just a day later… I wish they had a branch closer to the City, we’ll definitely be back for more soon—thank you for a wonderful experience! All the best to you and your family:)

The closest any Iraqi restaurant I have been has gotten to authenticate food.
Their breads are incredible.
Highly recommend breakfast as well — some great options.

My latest experience visiting Almazak was one of the worst ever which disappointed me as i shocked with the huge changes happened since my visits on 2020
1. Attitude of one of the sisters who manage the restaurant was very horrible as she was so arrogant and unpolite talking to customers just because we commented on her poor quality food and instead of apologizing to us she started to argue and anxious to us even using some unethical words towards us
Then she purposely and as a revenge from us she charged us extra extra charges
18% service charge
2% card payment charges
2. Food quality was very poor as it was COLD and SMELLY(not fresh)
3. When i called next day to complain to her brother (the manager) at first he was so arrogant and so angry to me and hanged up the phone while i was talking
4. The ONLY person was so much KIND AND PROFESSIONAL as well as SO MUCH POLITE was the other sister who look so good and friendly with great PR
this time i score Almazak restaurant 0/10

They might give you canceled order or cold food if you are new to the restaurant. At least they did this to us.
Make sure to ask if you are going to get fresh hot meal or cold bread and cold kababs.
Good luck!

Went there for bread, asked the girl in IRAQI: Do you have any bread left? she understood the question very well yet she answered in English SMH like OK your majesty. We get it. You were born here, but for God’s sake SMH
All the pictures in the place are iraq all the music is iraqi yet you don’t want to speak it.

Really delicious food almost like homemade you feel the freshness of the flavor, a small restaurant but they also have a bakery next door which makes the bread nice and hot made at the spot. The staff were very friendly.
