If you want dominican mom food, this place is it. The Pastelon 🔥🔥🔥 i had the Pernil with arroz morro and it was all fresh. (I literally watched someone bring out a fresh tray of food to the buffet) the ladies are so sweet, very homey family vibes.
Dont expect NYC fine dining atmosphere, its a regular spot, nothing grand about the interior design, but their playlist was fire (if youre no stick in the mud)
The portion i was served was enough to split for two, and i spent 25$ for pernil w/ rice and a nice slice of pastelon and a red country club soda.. i think their prices are very very affordable for quality food. I left a 7$ tip because im a decent human being who appreciates workers like these. Overall 9/10

I ordered yesterday, I live far and by the time I got home an opened up the food and served my family the habichuelas had a bad smell (like it was the last day before it had to go to the garbage) the pollo guisado was awfullll it was ruined that had to be thrown away a whileee ago. The only things that tasted right was my rice and Maduro and anything had to go to the garbage. Please have them check your food before you leave. I wouldn’t tell them to get me another plate bc it’s all the same batch. Also please be mindful that the ladies do up charge whoever they please to. So check and do your own math !

Let me start off, I’m never the type to cause any complications or be problematic. I don’t even normally write negative reviews! I’ve been buying food at this restaurant off & on for well over 10 years. The customer service have usually been decent. Having a language barrier with some of the ladies have never been an issue. I only speak English. I simply ordered stew chicken, white rice & a small sea food soup and was charged FORTY FIVE DOLLARS. For what ever reason, she stacked white rice in a large container & did the same with the chicken. I respectfully declined to pay & I asked several times if I could have my rice & chicken combined in the large foil container. I literally ordered this exact meal 2 months ago. I repeatedly explained & they continued to pretend that they had no clue what I requesting. Their attitudes were so nasty might I add. She placed the chicken in a smaller container & brought the total to $35. I’m no idiot & do believe the particular woman was trying to up sale me. NEVER AGAIN.
