This review is for a takeout order. We were very disappointed with the food. The spring roll was burnt. The pad Thai was very dry and too heavy on the spices.
Its really disheartening to see such a good restaurant end up how this place did. About a year and a half ago I would 100% have reccomended this place because the staff is friendly and the food was spectacular. My dine in experience yesterday however was the complete opposite to my experience back then. ROACHES. Roaches on the table, the floor, and worst of all IN MY DRINK. I didn't want to seem like I was crazy or just another person looking to complain. I honestly should not have sat there and continued to give them my patronage but by the time I mustered up the courage to say something the food had already come out. I opted to take the food togo and they attempted to still charge me for the thai ice teas to which my partner politely asked that they be removed from the bill and the lady obliged. I'm still itching from knowing i had small baby roaches floating in my drink. If the pest problem extends to smaller ones being found in glassware the issue is MUCH MUCH larger than one would think. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!
Cockroaches!! This place is horribly dirty! The table legs are full of spider nets, the floor is gross. In the end, a cockroach was on the table next to my hand when I was halfway finished my food. I screamed and the waitress caught the cockroach in front of me. I left immediately. They just said sorry.
It was a weekend afternoon and we were the only customer dining in, kept seeing delivery guys come and pick up the order. I went because of the good ratings on Google, I guess not many people actually go there and done in but order delivery instead. So people don't know how dirty the restaurant is.
The place is small but the service and food is excellent. Everything was hot and freshly prepared. Nice hidden gem. You won’t be disappointed.
Food is OK, not the best Thai I've had.
Tends to be expensive.

I was in the mood for Thai and decided to try someplace new (to me) on UberEats, so glad I chose Gub Khao Thai! Very flavorful with the right amount of spice and a good balance between noodles, veggies and protein in the Pad See Yew. I also enjoyed the spring rolls, Thai Iced Tea and Taro Custard.
I got the Pad See Yew early bird special for dinner which came with a side, dessert and drink for $27 (not including delivery) which I think is very fair for the amount of food and in comparison to similarly sized meals at other Thai places. This was enough for two, in my opinion.
The food was also well packed and had no issues in transit for delivery.

Ordered food here, DISGUSTING!
Noodles were all chopped up like someone chewed them and spit them out, asked for spicy medium and they were so hot no one could eat them!

The food is good. But they tend to raise the spice level too much during take-outs. Maybe they need to buy a better phone for taking order or they need to listen better. Store is small and a little bit of a mess in the back.

Absolutely outstanding. I have only ever had takeout (I cannot judge anything else besides the food quality). I've been to Thailand about 10 times (probably close to half a year in total both in Bangkok and the southern resort areas) and this is the best Thai food I have had in the US except maybe for a spot or two in Manhattan and Queens. Maybe- it's close. One cautionary note- their spice levels are relative to the dish (not some absolute scale where you have to order everything extra hot just to taste it). Medium is the spice level it should be. So for a normally spicy dish medium is going to be knock your socks off hot (if you aren't used to Thai spicy), whereas for a normally mild dish medium is going to be very (appropriately) mild.

Very delicious flavors. Definitely want to come back and try more. The prices are on the higher end but the flavor of the food speaks to that. The drunken noodles were very good and satisfying. The curry puffs are a tasty choice. During lunch hours, they do give a free small Thai tea which you don't see anywhere really. Thai tea is a highly recommended and delicious choice on a hot summer day. 06/2024
