I came to try out the food first time. Told the person I wanted a plater and combo with rice. Another employee was making a online order or something in front of the person that was making my food. They stared at me without saying anything getting to toppings I’ve pointed to lettuce and some cut vegetables. And then said, can you put the same sauces that your coworker put on the order before mines. Which I saw was a red and white sauce. The worker then proceeded to put dark brown color sauce on my food. I proceeded to ask her if that was what was put in the order before mine and the response was, I don’t know. Then proceeded to stare at me again not communicating any way how to proceed to solve problem. I felt like if I asked her to make me a new one, I would be offending her ability to make a plater. So I told her I would buy it so she wouldn’t have to make another one. Then she proceeded to ask me what to do. So I paid $13 for not hurting somebody’s feelings. Now that I got this off my chest I feel better, but I probably won’t come back to eat here.

Food was great but they forgot to add the white sauce which is the only reason I ordered from here. :/. Hoping for next time there’ll be white sauce.

I ordered 2 times. Even though I wrote without onion in both, it came with onion.

I went here because I saw the ads and reviews on social Media saying it was similar to Adele's famous without the wait; boy was I wrong. This place is more similar to the halal guys chain now but they offer lamb and fish. It's not as fresh as other places as it is a chain. They don't give as much meat as the halal guys. It's a good $10 lunch spot if you are in the area. Its a small station located in a store next to a hospital that has a convenience store station and a subway restaurant station all in one store. Their marketing video online is nothing like the actual meal you get.

Don't believe all of the videos you see about this place competing with some of the best food carts in NYC. It's mediocre at best and gets the job done if you're craving some chicken and rice. The staff were also super friendly and attentive but you can definitely tell the franchised vibes vs the food carts. We went in person to check out this place for ourself and was surprised to find it in the same building as Subway and a convenient store. Don't get me wrong, it's super convenient for the folks who work at the hospital next door to have lunch but to compare this to halal carts in NY is wrong on so many levels. When we arrived we saw a ton of mobile orders so see that they are still super busy, but was disappointed to see the little portions of meat they provided compared to the rice portion. My recommendation is to try it for yourself to knock it off your list, but don't get your hopes up. 100% recommend ordering in person so you can pay attention to how they make your platter vs online ordering.

Good and cheap eats, just buy the rice bowls.

The food here is really good, this is my second time trying Indian food, and I can say I would definitely come back again. The chicken gyro was so good. The bread (Idk what it’s called) is so soft, and the chicken has a bit of spice but it’s tolerable. It’s just overall really good, it’s so creamy too, but I guess it depends what you add on it. The chicken nuggets are also really good, they’re fresh and crispy and soft on the inside. Same with the fries, fresh and crispy. I really liked the icee, too!

Ordered via UberEats for pickup on a Sunday night at around 7:30. I had the lamb over rice, which was okay. I chose to add the green sauce. I wasn't sure what it was but decided to add it because I had never seen this option at halal places before. It tasted like a really sour version of chimichurri. I didn't care for it. Overall, it wasn't the worst but it wasn't the best. There are plenty of better halal spots in the area so I probably wouldn't order from here again.

Tastes good but they're cheap with the meat. There's other halal cart stores that give more meat, and only charge $10 compared to $13 over here.

Just ordered from here for the first time and the food came quickly and was impressively good. I recommend the lamb/chicken combo.

I never thought a platter would ever taste bad until I tired this one it literally taste like school food I don’t even think it’s hala the meat taste like rat meat you need to step your game up and it’s definitely not worth the price it should be 5 dollars if you make it taste like this?

They give literally 2 tablespoons worth of meat, unlike every other Shah's (been to 5 different locations) so it's basically just a waste of money.
