i recently had my daughter's baby shower at the Brownstone and was very happy overall. Food was great, atmosphere was beautiful and the staff was nice and attentive. The cake was made in-house and was very beautiful and delicious. I highly recommend this venue. They made all our visions come true.

Went to a bridal shower for the first time and was impressed, the place is very cute and well kept. The food was good and plenty and even though other parties were taking place simultaneously we weren’t bothered at all and couldn’t hear a thing, there was plenty of parking and the AC worked beautifully lol. From what I was able to find out their prices are very reasonable.

I recently attended a friend's birthday party at The Brownstone (351 W Broadway, Paterson, NJ 07522), and I have to say—it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish.
From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how immaculately clean and beautifully decorated the venue was. The ambiance is both elegant and welcoming, with attention to detail in every corner. It’s clear that this place is designed for special moments.
The event itself was full of life and joy. My friend, who is Filipina, had her wonderful relatives there, and they made the party truly come alive with dancing and singing. Their energy, combined with the festive atmosphere of The Brownstone, made for a night to remember. It was a celebration filled with laughter, music, and genuine happiness.
Now let’s talk about the food—simply outstanding! Every dish served was fresh and flavorful, but what stood out for me was the fresh fruit selection—perfectly ripe and beautifully presented. The coffee was also exceptional, rich and smooth, a perfect complement to the delicious desserts.
The staff at The Brownstone were equally impressive. Every team member we encountered was friendly, respectful, and always smiling. Their professionalism and warm demeanor added so much to the overall experience. It really felt like they cared about making the event special.
This venue is not just great for birthdays—I would absolutely recommend The Brownstone for weddings, anniversaries, or any special occasion. The combination of amazing service, a gorgeous setting, and a joyful atmosphere makes it a top choice for any celebration.

My recent visit to this venue in Paterson was quite unexpected, as its location is somewhat discreet. While I was familiar with The Brownstone, this was my first experience there. The architecture and historical significance of the location are remarkable, making it a hidden treasure in Paterson. I believe that offering historical tours of the grounds would be a valuable addition. Furthermore, a Halloween-themed event would be a welcome enhancement. Overall, the venue is impressive, although the food quality was just ok.

I attended a shower here yesterday and it was beautiful. Everything our family hoped it would be. The charm of the venue, the staff that worked our event and the food were all incredible! Nina was amazing! Very attentive to our party. This would be a 5 star review, hands down, if it wasn't for the rudeness of the valet. If it were only one guest that had an issue, but it was at least 3 that I'm aware of. One of them, who was an older gentleman, I am assuming was the guy in charge, literally swore, using the F word at one of the people who was hosting the event. Very unprofessional for this caliber of establishment. The lack of consideration by a few other valet staff to offer to assist while guests are unloading huge boxes of gift. I'm not sure that's not their responsibility, but I know if I'm working for tips, I would be helping. Again, the venue itself was as advertised. No complaints. I would love to attend another event at the Brownstone!
