I stopped by this casual Palestinian restaurant after an almost 10 years hiatus. The decor has been slightly updated. I was there 2 days before the Muslims ended their Ramadan fast and preparing to celebrate Eid Mubarak on that Friday. The grilled meats combination platter was delicious and done well.Their service was so-so. The Male staff were polite for the most part. The females were standoffish, reserved and seemingly unfriendly to me although they didn't say anything to me nor did they appreciate my respect, politenes, gratitude and genial acknowledgment of them. On the other hand, they were "friendly" and accommodating to the other patrons who were seated in the dining hall at the time (it was past 10 p.m.). I guess it was because I was not Muslim, Arabic, Palestinian or from the middle-east.I'm Indian American. Oh well!!! I was in "their zone". In America.

The staff is extremely warm and welcoming....offering fresh hot cookies to sample. My waiter was also very efficient and eager to please. Those cookies were delicious! Circular with a date filling and not overly sweet. I had the lentil soup and the small lamb shish kebob without the stick wrapped in pita bread and some vegetables. All very tasty.

Very fancy, this place seems to have been set down from somewhere else. It is surprising to see such a fancy restaurant tucked into downtown Paterson. Typical steak hose fare, atmosphere is wonderful. It feels like you are entering onto a secret subterranean world, almost like a winery somewhere in Napa. The food is delicious if somewhat pricey.

Under new management. New owners are nice but food not so good. Some dishes like falafel is under cooked. Some dishes are over cooked or cold. They need to rehire old cook or replace current cook.

What a fantastic meal! Tonight was our first time (recommended by a friend) and one of the staff ordered all the food for us: small mixed grill plate, hummus with meat on top, (the best) tabouleh, and falafels. We couldn't figure out what we liked most, everything was so delicious. I think I'm the end the hummus and the falafels won by a narrow margin: the hummus was so creamy and sumptuous, and the falafels were crispy, light, and tasted so so fresh. On top of all of that, the staff is very friendly with a sense of humor to boot. This will be our new go-to spot whenever we are in the mood for Middle Eastern food. Or just hungry.

My boss took my family and friends here for dinner. It was amazing. The drinks were superb. The service was fabulous as well. All of our appetizers were superb and tasted very fresh. The entrees were excellent! The men all had red meat and all said it was very tasty. I had the ahi tuna which tasted very fresh and cooked perfectly! Typical steak hose fare, atmosphere is wonderful. It feels like you are entering onto a secret subterranean world, almost like a winery somewhere in Napa

A decent middle Eastern restaurant. The restaurant has recently changed hands, and it now has a new name: Ward Restaurant. The staff is courteous and polite. The food is average; it's not spectacular, but it's not bad. If someone is looking for a quick and satisfying meal, I recommend ordering from their daily special; otherwise, you would have to wait until the food is cooked. The price is quite reasonable. I ordered a Lamb Maqlooba cooked with potatoes and eggplants, served with two sides: salad and plain yogurt, and a soda. I paid a mere $14.95. My final thought on the place that it is a good place for a casual quick meal.
