Had a great brunch this morning. The mimosas and sangria were very good and the breakfast boards were excellent. Our server was very helpful. We will definitely be coming back again even though they are 30-40 min south of our home. Not sure why the other reviewer complained about the time limit. They are very clear about this and it is a smaller place. We were in and out in 40 min with 3 people. The food came out quickly and we didn't feel rushed at all. My only complaint had nothing to do with the food or the restaurant. The entrance/exit is one lane. Getting in and out when they are busy was a little dangerous. I kinda wish they had someone flagging people in and out.

While every experience at Salem Oak Vineyards is worthy of a 5 star review, they've truly outdone themselves with the Breakfast Boards and Mimosas! The food was delicious and plentiful, so go hungry! Our group of 6 people sampled 4 o the 5 available boards and we still had leftovers. The cannoli dip with the French toast sticks was phenomenal and the lemon lavender mimosa paired nicely with the breakfast assortment. The service was top notch, super friendly and fast, yet we never felt rushed. Thanks for a great day SOV. See you soon, Danna

Update: please read the salty response to this review and you decide whether you want to give this place your business ?I enjoyed the company of my friends, I didn’t enjoy the constant check ins and harassment to leave and no actually no one told us about a 2 hour limit so you are mistaken. I’ve never heard of an establishment upset over more time and money spent at their establishment. This is the second time I’ve given this place a chance. The first time was a terrible Mother’s Day experience which to me seemed that this small place had a hard time handling and this second time was a breakfast boards event. I think this place is fine for a I wanted a glass of wine and it’s a chill Saturday with nothing going on. Once there’s an event, I think it’s too much for the staff and it falls apart. Me and a group of 3 other girls made a reservation, ordered two boards, mimosas and two bottles of wine. Not even two hours later our waitress informed us that they “needed our table” with no line at the door , many other open tables and nothing in our reservation stating that there were timed tables. I understand it’s likely a popular event but we are giving your establishment good business and continuing to order more wine and now you’re kicking us out the door? This is probably my last attempt to give this place the benefit of the doubt. I did find the boards overpriced for what we got and although I loved the idea, I think it could have been executed better.

Always have a nice time at the winery. Most recent visit was for Mimosas and breakfast Boards. Food was delis and service with a smile. Good times. Good wine. Good friends. Looking forward to the next event.

We attended The boards and brunch event for the second time since it started. And I just want to say how fantastic everything was. The Boards were overflowing, and the mimosas hit the spot. Salem Oak Vineyards has a great atmosphere, bubbly staff and amazing wine selection. If they weren’t sold out all the time for the brunch and boards, we would go every Sunday.

GREAT SPACE FOR FLIGHTS? if you’re into sweet things on a nice summer day then check out the sweet flights at Salem. A very quant Winery with a indoor / outdoor option and if your lucky you can catch a few horses doing what horses do. The food wasn’t the best, but you can never go wrong with a salad.

Quaint and rustic vineyard. Spacious enough for family and friends to gather for brunch, lunch or dinner. The service is wonderful and the prices are reasonable. I was able to purchase a wine flight of my choice for $10. I order a delicious salad topped with chicken that was very flavorful and aligned with my wine preferences. Had a wonderful time.

It’s difficult to sum up this experience with a few stars, so each is getting a rating. My friend and I are sommeliers, so take my review with that in mind as others will probably have a different experience.Staff: 5/5The staff were friendly and inviting! We felt incredibly welcomed. The lady who took care of us was attentive and friendly.Food: 4/5We had bread and dipping oil. The oil mixture was delicious! It had fresh herbs and some garlic. The bread, while also fresh and yummy, would have been a little better warmed up. But overall, excellent.Wine: 2/5This wine isn’t for everyone. Neither is the experience. If you’re looking for a glass of wine with a view, this place is great! If you’re like me and have a more sensitive, intellectual palate, look elsewhere. The wine sampling was served in shot glasses. This neither allows for a refined experience nor encourages sitting and sipping. That being said, maybe the wine is better than I tasted, but the shot glasses removed any chance for aerating, sniffing, and experiencing the wine. The wines we tried were mostly unpalatable, and it was easy to say no to a full glass after the experience. That being said, the two best wines we sampled are the Christopher Andrew Chambourcin and Jessica Rose Vidal Blanc.OVERALL… of all the places I thought I’d find a vineyard, NJ is not one of them. Anyone who is able to work the land and water in this region deserves a medal. It’s a lovely place with a beautiful interior design and flourishing vineyard outside.
