Old school vibe from the days when going out for dinner was an occasion. A South Jersey landmark.

Very unique restaurant that takes you back in time. In addition to a salad bar, they have open charcoal hearths for all of their steaks, ribs, and other meats. The menu has something for everyone.

I have no doubt that this place used to be great back in the day given that they've survived this long and can still fill the dining room on a Saturday night, but time has passed the Pub by and it's showing its age (just like their clientele). Our server was pleasant but slow and spilled half of each of our drinks using the silly cart that they roll from the bar. My martini ended up being the size of my thumb. Did she offer to remake them, apologize or even acknowledge what happened? Of course not. I had the rack of lamb and it was terrible. It looked and tasted like something previously frozen that was slopped together. No flavor whatsoever. The salad bar is a nice touch and the ambiance is very unique but I walked away disappointed and hungry.

I ordered soup and salad bar. When I got to the salad bar, I noticed how dirty it was. The glass was disgusting. There was dust everywhere. The servers had their fingers touching food that they were bringing out to replace in the salad bar with no gloves on so then I did not get the salad When I got back and told my server she informed me that they would still have to charge me because there’s a minimum price to be in the dining room. I kind of get it, but it’s also a little ridiculous. There was nothing on the menu for Me to eat the French onion soup was OK but I typically would not expect to pay $30 for French onion soup. My husband got some kind of combo platter with steak, lobster and crab meat. I can’t remember the name cowboy something or another anyway it was just a giant crabcake on top of That was not seasoned. He was not impressed either.

I eat at the Pub once a week and I'm telling the Steak is every bit is good as those high dollar plates e.g. Ruth Chris, and Morton's. I'll take the pub any day.., it's a warm ambience, laid-back chilled and the service is awesome. Food is great.

The waitress was great. My prime rib was cooked ok but no flavor. The mashed potatoes were a stiff lump with no flavor. Husband’s prime rib was ordered medium but was rare and looked uncooked. And the call me crazy thing, the napkins had a very strong scent to them. I literally got a headache by using it to wipe my mouth.

I have been going to the Pub since I was a child in the 60’s. It hasn’t changed in all these years. We are never disappointed. The salad bar is full of options, is fresh and kept stocked. The loaf of bread is great but the food is amazing! If you enjoy prime rib, this is the place to go! The wait staff is attentive, most have been there for years. The desserts are worth the calories! If you have never been. It’s an experience!

Should probably stay open in the summer so we're not paying more for the used to be complimentary bread. Expected the prices to go up and they did and were happy to pay them but the bread charge on top of 3 full priced meals seems greedy.

Group of 5 family members for dinner. Cozy atmosphere, great staff.
My food experience: Ordered Seakabob dinner. The skewers had mushrooms, shrimp, scallops, lobster pieces. All great except lobster was tough. Loved the salad bar. Table bread good too. Got crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e for dessert which I was really looking forward to. This was disappointing. Its texture was too firm and it tasted too much like heavy whipping cream. Maybe it had been frozen? Minus initial tasting, I didn’t eat it, but I didn’t return either. Another member of our party did mention not liking hers to the waitress who then asked if I liked mine and I responded not really. (3/4 of us there that love crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e tried it did not like it) With this the waitress/management took mine off of the bill which was very kind.
The other food at our table from chicken, steak, ribs, snapper soup ranged from great to good based on our idle chatter. The pina coladas and margarita were good too.
I rated 3/5 due to the lobster and crÚme brûlée issues at their price point. Overall we had a lovely time.
