We enjoyed the DJ and the food. The dessert was so so. The chocolate cake was good. The cheese cake too dry. Overall, we enjoyed it.
Amazing Birthday to my wife ! !!
Pros: Good food with plenty vegetarian options in the Brunch buffet. Music was decent and the crowd was fun. Good place to enjoy with a group who likes to dance!
Cons : Not much scenery to look at if you take the cruise from the Perth Amboy location. The ship and the dining area can use some renovations.
Everything amazing @ Cornucopia..
Pleasant interaction with the staff .. and the Dinner Cruise was a total surprise!!
Starting with the interaction with the Captain, everybody was pleasant and the dinner with the pleasing cruise was a wonderful experience
Will sure do a repeat visit as I’ve discovered a great place to bring friends
Thanks

A great time was had by all.
We recently hosted a church luncheon event aboard Cornucopia’s Casino St. Charles Riverboat Station, and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish.
Our afternoon moored on the water was serene and the environment was welcoming, but what truly elevated the event was the outstanding professionalism and care shown by the staff—particularly Barbara, the vessel manager, Ernesto, the site coordinator, and Jason, the executive director.
Barbara was incredibly attentive and no nonsense throughout the entire cruise. Her calm, capable presence ensured everything ran smoothly on board. She anticipated our every need, made sure everyone was comfortable, and maintained a steady oversight without ever being intrusive. It was clear she’s a leader who takes pride in her role and genuinely cares about the guests' experience.
Ernesto was equally impressive. From the very beginning, his coordination of the event was seamless. He managed his staff with grace and precision, paid close attention to every detail of the setup, and made sure every request we had was addressed promptly and thoughtfully. He was kind, approachable, and completely client-focused, always going the extra mile to make sure we felt supported.
Finally, Jason, the executive director, whose efforts initially introduced me to Cornucopia’s vessels through a familiarization dinner which gave event professionals an opportunity to experience the vessels firsthand and learn how they could accommodate a diverse range of events. Without that exposure, I would have never known Cornucopia had the vessel to meet our needs. Not only did Jason manage our contract, but his presence at our event spoke volumes about his commitment t—he was there making sure every detail lived up to expectations.
Barbara, Ernesto, and Jason were instrumental in making our event a great one for everyone in attendance. Their professionalism, kindness, and client-first approach made all the difference. I highly recommend the river boat St. Charles for your special event. Don’t be deterred by her outer appearance. She may not glitter from the outside and may need some upgrades, but the experience was pure gold!
It was a great experience. From checking in to exit, no issues at all. The food was good and the waiter was always checking on us. The DJ was great as well. The boat was clean and was lovely. I'd definitely recommend them.
Would not recommend. We got cold bread, cold pasta, warm salad(how did they manage this) and the dinner was meh. I would compare it to Boston market. The mashed was instant mashed(we saw it being made in the kitchen). There was a LOUD noise anytime the boat turned that was so loud that it shook the whole table and would make the drinks spill. We asked our waitress and she confirmed it happens any time the boat turns. They didn’t even turn the lights on for the section of the boat we were sitting in, we had to ask multiple times for them to turn the lights on. Windows were so dirty you couldn’t see out of them, we cleaned it ourselves to look out. Staff was okay.
I’ve sailed on the Cornucopia 3 times. The first 2 times were a while ago and I remember them being okay. My fiancé never sailed on it and expressed interest so I surprised her with a Valentine’s Day dinner cruise on the cornucopia. When booking the cruise, they had 3 options, a non-private table, a private table, and a VIP table. I attached a screenshot of the options and what was included. My fiancé and I don’t drink champagne, she doesn’t like filet, and I already got her roses so I decided to choose the regular table for 2. After taxes and fees I spent over $400 for the dinner, which didn’t bother me at all. We arrived at our scheduled time and there was very little direction on where to go. Upon boarding we noticed extremely dirty HVAC vents that don’t look like they’ve been cleaned in years. We were sat at our table which was in the middle of the room, we and noticed the VIP tables were along the windows which wasn’t a problem but it would’ve been nice to mention a better view in the description for the VIP option. The VIP tables also had champagne ready and were tended to first, again, not an issue to us. The issues came after being on the boat for an hour and a waiter had yet to come to our table to take a drink order, meanwhile the VIP tables had hors doeuvres, drinks from the bar, and their champagne, and we noticed a waitress, going to their tables multiple times asking if they needed anything, while my fiancé and I have yet to had one drink order placed. Finally after an hour a waitress comes by our table to refill our water glasses and we ask to order drinks. My fiancé asks for a mimosa and the bar said they could not make it. At that point she got fed up and just ordered a coke. Our first course came out and it was a small plate of vodka pasta, I asked about our hors doeuvres and she said it wasn’t included with the non-VIP table. I spoke to the manager and showed her the photo I attached here, and she finally brought us 2 small plates of hors doeuvres. Long story short, it took us an hour to get drinks, and on the entire 3 hour cruise, we only had our drinks refilled once. The service was terrible. The DJ played dance music during dinner and dinner music after dinner when you’re supposed to be dancing. The boat was gross. The food was subpar which wouldn’t bother me if the service was on point and I got a drink in a reasonable time. For $400+, I was expecting better service and to have more than 2 drinks on a 3 hour cruise. Not to mention, the drinks weren’t included in the $400 dinner price so you figure they’d be hustling white drink orders to make extra money. That wasn’t the case. I understand the VIP tables would be there priority but I wasn’t expecting to be borderline ignored at the non-VIP table. My fiancé said after her first experience on the for Cornucopia, I better not take her on it again and I have to agree with her on that.
great staff and meal. they made our celebration very special.

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. They falsely advertised numerous things and charged an arm and a leg in fees that we were willing to pay for what we THOUGHT we were getting. But it’s Valentine’s Day so make the most of it, my boyfriend and I were still going to have a WONDERFUL night out no matter what. Especially since him being a first responder and me working in healthcare were like two ships passing in the night.
It started out with the website clearly stating they depart at 7:00pm no exceptions and to be here 6:15-6:30 for boarding. However we proceeded to sit and wait until after 7:30 to leave.
As the night went on… Our server proceeded to ignore us all night long. It took over an hour to get a second drink (extra cost mind you) and we never were even offered tea nor coffee as promised (and included) in our bill.
Then to make things even better… at the end of the night the server was really quick to push our bar tab at us after ignoring us all night long. The bill was $53 total after the drinks and service fee. But when it was handed back to us to sign the total conveniently went up another $5ish. When I asked to speak to a manager thinking that our server had added her own tip, the manager was EXTREMELY rude. I was actually disgusted by her lack of professionalism. She would not let me speak. I was just trying to explain that if it was an error in math on the service charge that it shouldn’t be discreetly handed back to us with higher total it should’ve been expressed and all would’ve been fine. However they took the sneaky route which makes me thing that because they saw no gratuity on the check (we planned to leave cash) they uncharged our bill.
Makes me wonder how many other people they stole money from by up charging bills without saying a word. Had we not noticed because we are celebrating they would’ve gotten away with it Scott free.
I cannot speak for the Hoboken location but Perth Amboy… i do NOT think it was worth it and wouldn’t recommend spending the money on this cheating, lack luster experience.
Complete SCAM!!!! Same thing happened to us that happened a week ago to the prior comment. The boat could not get out of port after trying 12 times. They blamed it on 30mph wind gusts which were actually gusts of up to 13 mph. When asked why there was no notification if we still wanted to go I was told that's not how we work here. I paid over $400 for a shitty brunch that we ended up walking off the boat cause it never left port.
Me and my husband had an amazing time on the Hoboken Cornucopia cruise tonight!! The server was super nice and friendly, the food was SO good (worth mentioning was the delicious tender beef and the purple cabbage salad!), we got up-close views of the Statue of Liberty, and even nice souvenir framed pictures ($25 each). Most importantly, the DJ was excellent!! Played classic club/dancing songs including hip hop, latin music, and other classics like Dancing Queen. Smooth transitions and remixes between songs. Loved him!!!
We got a deal through Groupon, although there’s a fee associated with it ($32.50 each when we got it, so keep that in mind). Also wish there was a narration that went along with the tour but nevertheless it was super fun and my favorite night of our New York vacation!
The atmosphere was okay. The interior can use some extra cleaning and maybe updating but overall the Cornucopia was fine. The music was loud and they are unstaffed. The most disappointing part was the food. We went for the thanksgiving dinner and it was all pretty bad as well as luke warm to cold. We spent $100 for drinks and the wait in between was long. The staff who worked today did a really great job and had amazing attitudes. Unfortunately , we will not be back. It is a one and done deal for us.
The staff was wonderful, was there to celebrate my retirement with family and friends the Food and music was excellent
