If you can stay away from this restaurant do so !! I went in last night 3/18/25 before closing time. I decided to purchase beans and chicken. Come to realize while i was eating my beans i found 3 MAGGOTS ! Honestly 3 maggots ! If you could avoid this place do so !

Terrible, I ordered a lasagna for December 24 and I had to throw it away because we couldn't eat it because of so much salt in it, two baked chickens came with nothing but bones and all four thighs were missing.

Great place to stop and have a heavy, healthy meal while waiting for your EV to charge.
Great portions and a huge selection of provisions and meats, hot and cold sides! Great service and recommended by the folks at the store near the laundromaut.

The service needs to be worked on as the servers attitude was just as dry as the rice and chicken that we ordered. The beans and potato salad lacked flavor, the portions were small, and the options were very limited. Needless to say we probably won’t be coming back.

Horrible customer service, the few times I have been to this location they are horrible at listening. My husband just went there and asked for BEEF and cheese empanadas and two drinks. I’m not sure where she heard one instead of two because my husband speaks clear Spanish and she gave us one drink. Also, the meat in their empanadas are questionable, we specifically told them beef since we don’t eat pork and when we open the empanadas it was some mysterious meat which definitely was not beef. Won’t be going back nor to the other location on state street and sad because we have been going there for many years.

The food was definitely spoiled. The chicken had a spoiled smell and taste, the plantain seems burnt and also gone bad( maybe sitting for way too long) Not sure if the rotation of food isn’t happening but the meats were not eatable. The yellow rice and beans were however good. I also had a chicken empanadas which was not great at all, probably the worst I’ve had and very greasy. Other than the food not being great the atmosphere was very clean and pleasant. The service was great, the guy who served me was extremely nice and friendly but a bit on the slower side of taking the order. Prices are AMAZING. they give ALOT of food for the price for sure but the meat, plantains and empanada were not good. I really wish I could have given a better rating because of the service and atmosphere but the food was on the bad side. I hope they can improve because it’s a beautiful restaurant.

First and last time I go to this restaurant, I don't know how to recommend it to anyone. I ordered a mangu, it was cold, the salami was super hard and the egg was burnt. My friend ordered a sandwich and they put things on it that she said she didn't want and they added everything to her.
Excellent
I've never been a fan of the Don Manuel on state street but heard this one was better. Sadly, only the parking is better. Rice is dry and tasteless and the ham and cheese sandwich I ordered came with only cheese. It's supposed to come with fries and a soda but came with fries and a jail muffin. So gross. Waste of money.
