La Hacienda Restaurant

I ordered the shrimp tacos and I must say that for the price I paid I was expecting better quality and quantity. ONE tortilla per taco (which it fell apart), a couple of shrimps, and little to nothing else but 4 pieces of onions. Good experience to never order again from here.

Delicious Birria Burrito and hibiscus water. Would highly recommend.

The place is good. Unfortunately there is no parking so you have to try and find street parking in a busy area of Perth Amboy. The seating area is small and quaint but a nice place to get something to eat. The staff seemed nice and friendly, but the young lady at the front seemed a bit overwhelmed when i went. The birria was good, i liked that their tortillas taste like they are homemade. I didn’t like the consome very much, but the birria was delicious so I’ll definitely be back. Didn’t give it a 5 because my food sat there for a few minutes before anyone told me my order was ready. Again, the young lady seemed overwhelmed that day.

As far as their Birria, it’s was delicious and yummy. A good local spot. Support small businesses.

I ordered an order of salmon with beans and salad 🥗, I was surprised everything arrived in miniature, it looked more like an appetizer than a meal 🥘 for which I paid good money 💰

I never write reviews anywhere I go but this time
I decided to share my experience I had at this restaurant.
My husband and I came to this restaurant to eat breakfast and we order chorizo con huevo, beans, fried plantain and crema. Everything was good but as soon we got home we felt dizzy and we started to throw up, I think we got food poisoning, it’s been a week already and my husband hasn’t recovered yet, he’s still dizzy with a lot of headache and fever
I got a lot better. But I will definitely not going to any restaurants any time soon.

Best taco birria in NJ! I live more than 30 miles away, but I still drive there every time I’m craving Mexican food.

This place is a gem in Perth amboy.
Food was amazing and good prices, I had Ana as a server as she was really attentive.
I’ve been to almost every single taco place in Perth amboy and this one is the best one in Perth amboy and even one of the best ones in NJ.
Their Birria has good flavor, not greasy at all, perfect combination.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

Had a great meal here! Fresh, authentic tacos and great service. Had the beef birria and al pastor tacos that did not disappoint. The salsas are tasty with just the right amount of heat. Will be back.
