The best Puerto Rican food outside my Mom’s kitchen is this place. When I go visit my Godmother at a nursing home in Matawan, I stop here and take her a plate. Today’s arroz con gandules was perfection. They had five pasteles - which i bought and I was back in my Mom’s kitchen Christmas day. I wish my godmothers nursing home could get food from here. I really wanted to be able to give 5 stars but the chicken and pernil were very salty. Alcapurria was delicious and so was the relleno de papa. I’ll give it another shot someday because not too many PR restaurants like this.

Food was absolutely delicious. Accapurria was on point as well as the pernil. Everything we got was full of flavor...authentic flavor! Definitely one of my favorite restaurants now!
