Luca was a tremendous server and host. He was very knowledgeable about the winery. Highly recommend coming to the winery. Also, the food was fabulous.
This was are first visit and probably last to Auburn Road Winery. When we arrived
the hostess disappeared from the reception area then ignored us as she typed on the tablet for a few minutes. There was no "I will be right with you" Maybe they are too pretentious for a casual wine enthusiasts like us. Maybe this place is for regulars like a country club. If you don't have a reservation you are required to order from a small packed wine bar that took serveral minutes to get the attention once again of waitstaff. Granted it was a busy Saturday day in late March but that's no excuse for the poor reception and lack of service. We ordered a bottle a wine that I had to ask for again after paying. We were banished to a corner of the room on a small performance stage 2 steps up. My wife is temporary handicapped with a knee walking scooter but they would not seat us at the many empty 2 person tables. They claimed they were for reservations only. Most of the patrons were outside so there was plenty of inside tables available. We were not allowed table service or to order any food at all. I am diabetic and my wife was disabled and we're treated very poorly. On top of that my wife had to move off the stage so the live performer could get the audio equipment. Why did they seat us there if a handicapped person had to move in just a few minutes? The bottle of wine was ok but we were hungry and with blood issues we left and were treated and seated and had food virtually like a King and Queen at a very busy but accommodating William Heritage Winery after leaving. We have been to many wineries in South Jersey and always had a pleasant experience. Auburn Road was not at all accommodating to a disabled person or a diabetic that needed a snack. This was very very disappointing. I hate to give negative reviews but this was really a bad experience.
It was really loud even at half capacity. There isn't much sound damping. No more gluten free pizza. Waitstaff was kind though and they did have gluten free crackers. Beautiful views.
Wonderful atmosphere great service great wine..::: Trish was an excellent waitress and Colleen was the sweetest hostess.
Terrible experience! Would not let a couple sit in the bar that was not seated by a sixteen year old hostess who decided to come up and request we move as “every seat in the winery was full tonight,” after the couple was seated for ten minutes plus. The manager rushed us out of the door to ensure those with reservations “had a seat.” But turned down providing service in other locations or provide other services for those in another location. The winery was not clean, had tables still with used glasses on them. Talk about a money grab! Tried then to call and talk to the manger about the issue and stated she purposely hung up on us after telling us we couldn’t sit at the bar of a winery and “were not welcome there”
Great place for wine and pizza!!
Recently went to Auburn Winery last Sunday for wine and pizza before taking a tractor ride from Auburn to Cowtown Outfitters. The service we received last Sunday was HORRENDOUS. Our server Olivia was by far the worst server I have encountered in quite a while. After being seated, we waited 15 minutes for Olivia to even acknowledge that we were there. We ordered wine flights and pizza and which were delicious, but continued to wonder, “Where the hell is Olivia?” Olivia was frequently unavailable and seemed as though she didn’t want to be working. We told Olivia 2 times that we would like the check and she disappeared without the check both times. We finally got up from our table and ask another employee for help. I love the wine and pizza at Auburn Winery, but Olivia makes my husband and I never want to go back. Terrible experience
Went to this place to sit outside around the fire pits. There are 4 fire pits and they piled everyone around 1 fire pit to quote make it easier for the server. It’s great sitting there hearing every conversation being inches away from other people, far from the fire, staring at all the open tables near the other fire pits…while over paying for a cheese basket that is tiny not even cut and a bar pizza wondering why you didn’t go to Wawa instead!
Wine was ok but the experience was just so lacking. It’s a shame it’s a nice place.
The winery was cozy and there was a nice selection of pizza on the menu. I enjoyed the Arugula Salad. There are two varieties. I started with a glass of Pino Grigio. After, I switched to the Sangria which was fabulous.
This place is awesome. Wine is Heavenly good 🍷 Pizza is high class 5 star pizza,Very fresh and delicious 😋. My waiter Britney was so lovely and very attentive to me and my family. I recommend this winery to anyone that loves wine and a winery view. What can else can I say? I'm in love with this place. It's my new wine spot! Omg obsessed! If your looking to drink fresh wine and fresh food I RECOMMEND YOU COME HERE!!!!!!! YES!!! 🍷

Auburn Road vineyard, located in New Jersey, offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, creating a picturesque backdrop for your wine tasting experience. With a reasonable price point of under $25 for a wine tasting, it's a great choice for those looking to enjoy quality wine without breaking the bank. The vineyard's wine selection is surprisingly good, offering a variety of options to suit different palates.
When visiting, be sure to reserve a table outside, even during the winter months. The vineyard provides blankets and fire pits to keep guests warm and create a cozy atmosphere, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the outdoor space regardless of the weather.
It's important to note that the food options at Auburn Road vineyard are somewhat limited, primarily consisting of pizza. Therefore, individuals with specific dietary restrictions or allergies may find it challenging to find suitable meal options at this location.
One area that requires improvement is the service. During a recent visit, there were noticeable delays in receiving food, with a wait time of over 50 minutes. Additionally, the waitress was frequently unavailable, which detracted from the overall dining experience.
Despite these shortcomings, Auburn Road vineyard remains a charming destination to unwind and savor the end of the day with a glass of wine in hand.
