A club even bought a cookie platter from Gerlandas. My friend who has a tree nut allergy like me went to go ask them if they used any tree nuts in their cookies. They said "they don't even use tree nuts at all". When we both ate the cookie we felt the symptoms our allergies right away and I had gone in an ambulance to the ER.The fact they can advertise they don't use tree nuts at all and potentially just kill someone is absolutely crazy to me and they need to be held accountable at all costs. I have so many medical bills to pay. Though my friend did not have a serious as my reaction he started puking and feeling awful after eating that cookie.tldr:GERLANDAS USES TREE NUTS EVEN WHEN THEY SAY THE DONT

Their pizza doesn't taste good and the only reason they're still in business is because they're on the Busch campus student center and most students don't have other options when they're hungry. The main reason why I'm giving them such terrible reviews is because I found thin, rectangular piece of plastic (about 1.5'' x 0.75'') lodged within my vanilla yogurt w/ honey and granola last semester. It was really gross to chew on plastic amidst the granola, plus it into cut my cheek. It really traumatized me and I have never bought yogurt from a restaurant ever since. I didn't even get a chance to confront them because I had my Physics homework due that night and was really busy. But what they did was so wrong, they should really maintain better hygiene and not leave pieces of plastic in their food.

One star. One star. One star. Asked for pizza to go, and went next door to get coffee. When I came back my pizza was to stay and the worker screamed at me to not leave my pizza. I can do whatever I want. I can stand wherever I want to stand outside. I don't have to wait for my pizza. I'm a nice person so I was just like "okay?" And then he challenged me that I didn't ask for to go and threatened to bring up cameras on me. I said yes, pull up the cameras where I said I wanted it to go. I did, so I actually would appreciate the cameras. The weird thing is, I wasn't mean. At all, I was totally chill. The staff needs to be put on some type of prescription medicine or some psychotherapy at the least. Won't be coming back and I have already shared the word across all Rutgers social media platforms. Thanks

Where do I even begin with this place? Busch Student Center, my comforting home away from home. First of all, the ambiance is just as surprising as the taste. As soon as you enter you're greeted by vibrant colors, delicious pizza aroma, and the buzz of hungry college students. And the menu? A work of art. Personally, I like to keep things adventurous and curate my perfect sandwich by grabbing for the "Create your own" slip of paper by the register and circling my favorites -- "Ras Chip" is a MUST, you'll thank me for it later. Once you've made your selection, brace yourself for a flavor explosion. The bread perfectly toasted and just the right level of crispy (don't forget to ask for double toasted!!). The portion sizes are comically generous. The sandwich will keep you full for the rest of the week (great for broke college students like myself). But be warned, it might be a challenge to gracefully handle these towering creations. They require some serious dedication and perhaps an advanced degree in sandwich engineering lol In conclusion, this on-campus sandwich/pizza/coffee/pastry store (yes they have everything) defies all exceptions. If there's one thing that always got me through classes at ARC, it's the thought of the mouthwatering sandwich that I would run to grab post-class

It’s my fav pizza place at Rutgers!!! Tried out their Buffalo chicken pizza & onion pepper pizza and the onion pepper one is too good! So cheesy, so mouthwatering ♥️

Don't let the location deceive you, Gerlanda's fires up some bonafide thin crust pizza! They have a large menu selection and you can pick up a couple of slices or an entire pie--all for a reasonable price. I have only tried the margherita pizza, but the ingredients always taste fresh, the cheese to sauce ratio is dialed in, and the dough is baked evenly. If you find yourself in the Busch Student Center, it's worth grabbing a slice at Gerlanda's.

not bad at all, i'd consider it nearly equivalent to krispy though the crust is a definitely a little on the thicker side comparatively. though if you don't feel like going all the way to CA for a slice or just want a fresh order id definitely suggest this location for a busch resident

Why is the bread so hard? Why is the mayonnaise so runny?
