The food and service was awesome. The wait was very quick but I did ask around before I went and my friends told me to go early as the wait might be long. I ended up going right when they opened at 12 I went on a Friday, and it was perfect time I was second in line and sat down right away and my delicious food was in front of me within 10 minutes

Long waiting time, bad service attitude. The food here get you diarrhea. However it accepts college meal swipes. It would only recommend college students to come here

Henry's Diner is situated on the Livingston campus and I visited around lunch time on Wednesday, March 21st. Although busy when I first arrived it did not take long to get seated and one of the first things I noticed was how clean the interior was. I was sat down, greeted warmly by my server and soon after, ordered the Shroom n' Swiss Burger. It did not take long for the food to come out and it tasted amazing. Considering that I used a meal swipe to order and received an entree, side and drink, I would say that it well worth it. Overall the experience was amazing, the servers/staff were very welcoming and I plan on returning some time very soon.

I went to Henry’s Diner during the lunch rush and waited outside on the line. While the line looks intimidating, it goes by pretty fast and we were seated after a 20 minute wait. The ambience here is great because the windows bring in so much light and they have customers put their bags towards the wall. The music choice gave off a retro American vibe without being distracting and the service was fast and friendly.I ordered the nutella crepe and added bananas (which costs extra) and my partner got a sandwich. The sandwich was larger and more filling but about the same price. The crepe is really thin (which is expected of a crepe but not enough to be filling). My tip would be for you to share two dishes, one more filling and another more for dessert, as we did.One meal swipe covers $12 and that comes with a drink of coffee or tea. They had a sign that says meal swipes are guaranteed till 5pm.Overall, I think the food was pretty good but ambience was the best part.

I’ll be honest that I was not expecting good food for an on-campus spot but I was pleasantly surprised. There was a 30 min wait since college students can use meal swipes here but overall the food was good and the service was great.

Went to Henry's Diner for the first time this semester. overall, going during lunchtime on a Thursday, there was still a line forming around 11:45. Not a great experience to wait outside in 0c weather, but it luckily, we were brought inside quickly. Diner pretty much only serves Rutgers students, though I believe it is open to the public.. I got a cold BLT sandwich, my partner got a monte cristo. BLT sandwich was very good, not that greasy and filling. However, I wish Henry's offered different options for sides, instead if just fries and coleslaw. The monte cristo was also very good, but there was too much oil. Service was fair and server was friendly. Pricing is expensive if your not using meal swipes. Will also comment that the hours are weird for being on a college campus. Would expect them to open later, not just until 6:00PM. Overall, Henry's is a super popular diner in a convenient location for students, I would visit again.

Henrys diner is great. The food is good.Just can’t understand why the hours are so strange and limited for literally being on a college campus.

On a brisk November afternoon, I visited Henry's Diner at Rutgers. The diner's warm ambiance was a welcome contrast to the chilly weather. I ordered a Denver Omelet, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The omelet was skillfully prepared, fluffy, and brimming with fresh, quality ingredients, encapsulating the essence of a classic Denver Omelet. The service was both friendly and prompt, enhancing my dining experience. This cozy spot is perfect for those seeking a comforting meal in a chilly setting. The diner's atmosphere, coupled with delicious food and commendable service, makes it a must-visit. Highly recommended for a satisfying meal on a cold day.

Pretty good! In comparison to most Rutgers facilities, this blows almost everything else out of the water. Unlike most places here, this feels like an actual restaurant. The food was great and cooked well, but some of the dessert options were lacking. The price also ends up being pretty crazy unless you pay with swipes (and even then is a bit much).

I went to Henry's Diner on Tuesday, November 14. I used my meal swipes when ordering and because I also ordered a milkshake I had to pay the extra 9 dollars out of pocket. Because i ate by myself I ate at the counter, which I found to be faster and more efficient. The only part I didn't enjoy was the wait outside, because of the wind and it being fall. When I got inside the wait for the server (Alex) wasn't long, he came to the counter within a minute and served people's coffee fast. I ordered a regular hamburger, well done with onion, lettuce, and avocado, along with an Oreo milkshake. The food took less than ten minutes to arrive and the milkshake was prepared right after to join it. The regular meal would be fully covered on a meal swipe but the addition of a milkshake made me have to pay the rest of it, which was around 7 dollars. The inside of it was clean and it made for an enjoyable experience.
