Seems like an amazing place. Top of my list!! Can't wait til you reopen!! :-)A great addition to the neighborhood.
Took the opportunity since we were in the area to go get some stinky tofu and salt and pepper chicken. Salt and pepper chicken was solid but could have been better if it wasn't soggy, next time they should put in a paper bag instead of the plastic box. The stinky tofu was awesome, not too stinky and the pickles were done spicy and well. Also tried the beef wrap which was okay but needed more sauce. I'll stop by here for other Taiwanese treats another time.
A relatively new place. Prices appear reasonable but taste was at best okay. We ordered two dishes for take out. Beef with broccoli of which they gave us the lunch special version. Beef was a little tough and taste was decent if a little oily. The second was salt and pepper squid. The fry was good but taste was bland… a stronger salt and pepper taste would make this a much better dish given the good crisp on the squid. Not sure if I will give this place another try yet given the number of Chinese food places in the area. The place a large parking lot although the lot could be better maintained (note that the parking lot has been in this condition for the previous restaurants that were here before this one). The location doesn’t help it too much as it’s in a out of the way place given the shopping areas locations… the roads to the shopping area don’t really pass through where this restaurant is.Strangely enough, the restaurant has multiple private dining areas. 6 from my count and the open dining area is about 5-6 tables right now.As of what I ate, this was mediocre Chinese food.
Food was very good, very tasty. Tables were more than 6 feet apart as required. Food came out fast & hot. I will return soon to try the other dishes. Prices were reasonable. Sorry I forgot to take photos. On my next visit I will take photos.
For me as a Taiwanese people, the food taste just okay but wasn’t Taiwanese enough. A bit disappointed. However, the popcorn chicken tastes the best!
The only reason this restaurant is getting 2 stars instead of 1 is because the food is passable, but not great. However, the service when eating at the restaurant is terrible. We were sitting at a table for over an hour, without receiving all of the dishes we ordered, and we ended up leaving and having the food we never received removed from out bill.Additionally, other patrons in the restaurant were filming themselves eating, but also filming us in the background. This made us feel very uncomfortable, and management did nothing about this situation.Overall, horrible service and subpar food leads to this place being a one and done for myself, my friends, and my family. The New Brunswick/Edison area has some truly great Asian restaurants, but this is definitely not one of them. Eat somewhere else.
I like the “family meal” here - for around $36, you can order 3 dishes and it comes with soup (the complimentary soup which is probably usually just a simple bone broth) and white rice. The dishes are a nice size, almost between a lunch special and dinner portion (I’m guessing). The family menu is extensive so there is plenty to try. Double sautéed pork was super delicious and I love that they put some wok crisp cabbage in there to add some bulkand spread the porky goodness. Salt and pepper fish was on point, not fishy and big tender filets. Shrimp with hot pepper sauce was just Kung Pao shrimp. Not the best Kung pao around and shrimp was small. Too much red and green pepper. Scallion pancakes were impressively plentiful, and not too fried with a nice chew. The Taiwanese fried noodle was ok but not what I was expecting. It has bean sprouts and sa-cha sauce, the noodles were thin. Good prices. They took down their outdoor seating but tables are far apart. Service was really good. I was celebrating a bday for a friend and bought 2 slices of cake from Paris Baguette. They provided plates and forks and lit the candles for us and even played the happy birthday song on the speakers. I cannot wait to try the weekend breakfast although I saw other people order things that was on the weekend breakfast menu during weekday lunch. I should have asked for it! This location hasn’t had much luck in the past but I hope this one does well.
Great food and service! Will def come again!!
I'm rating this place because my father really warmed up to my girlfriend here. That is the crowd it seems to please: older, Chinese immigrant parents and grandparents. The two times I've been here there were tables with tiny asian grannies, sometimes with grandkids, sometimes with a tiny asian grandpa with a newsie cap.The food is decent and authentic. I walk away full and it feels like I ate a family meal. My favourites have not been the Taiwanese dishes here; Red Onion and Taiwan Tasty so far are better for that. I liked best the sweet and sour fish and scallion pork chops. The soups and tea are good too.The decor is nice. It feels spacious here, both inside and outside. The music is often decades old, think last decade's asian grocery store music. The restaurant opened pretty recently in a challenging location so it's not crowded. It's worth a visit.Gendered multistall bathrooms
Do not recommend at all!!!!! The food does extremely not par to the price. Everything is overpriced and most importantly the food made my stomach uncomfortable. We ordered 芋泥酥饼(taro soubing), fried rice, and beef noodles. Taro soubing had way too much flour with plain taro in it. Fried rice and beef noodles were obviously not fresh at all. It tasted like the expired food recooked many times. The customer service was bad too, the waiter was rude and impatient. There are many other restaurants with reasonably price and yummy and healthy food that I would recommend such as noodle house and noodle go go.

Great place for Taiwanese food, especially delicacies like stinky tofu and pork intestines. The place is large and easy for seating with covid precautions in mind. Service was polite, but a bit slow when we visited on a Sunday in January for lunch, as this is a family run restaurant, and they're looking for additional help. Quality of the food was very good.
We placed our orders around 4:30 pm. We were the only customers who placed the orders. And there were no customers in the restaurant. So we ordered 4 noodles. When we got home and they were all overcooked and MUSHY. In addition, we miss an order of soup to go with the noodles. This is unacceptable. There is no execute for this kind of quality. As of now, this is the worse noodles we had. Definitely, we won't go back again.
I absolutely love this place. Really authentic Shanghai food and good Taiwan food. Best snow vegetable & pork noodle I have ever had in United States!
The Family meal special is so good! You get 3 entrees, soup, and rice at a great price. Really like their salt and pepper fish.
Love the quality and size of the lunch specials! Fast and courteous service.
