This small Mexican bakery tucked on a side street near the train station, has a nice selection of sweet delicious treats as well as Mexican street foods (nachos, sandwiches, tacos, etc) at an affordable price. Staff is friendly and helpful. Entrance is handicap accessible and there is metered street parking.
There are a lot of Latino coffee shop/bakeries in this neighborhood. This one is directly across from the Plainfield train station on the north side of the tracks. They have a large selection of fresh baked goods. They also prepare tamales and sandwiches. I sampled the marble pound cake, the pineapple cake, the coconut carrot cake, and the sweet croissants. The croissants were a little dry, but the cakes were moist and really delicious, and only $1.50 each for a huge serving....read full review

Great bakery. My Father used to take me here when I was little for breakfast.Love the delicious croissant and their coffee.Even though it is in Plainfield NJ. Still have one of the same classic croissant since I was 9
