This was my first time eating at this Texas Weiner joint and was the second of four Texas Weiner spots we visited on the day. They are a family owned and operated restaurant for over 50 years. The interior is a bit animated with its menu signs and had the second largest seating capacity of the four places. While not very large there was more than enough seating available. This Texas Weiner-only tour included four luncheonettes located in Dunellen, Middlesex and Plainfield. Our order included a classic Texas Weiner up that were graded according to Texos Weineros’ 8 Commandments: -\tThou shalt not serve a hot dog with no snap or shorter than thy bun -\tThou shalt only serve quality hot dogs made from beef and/or pork -\tThy hot dog must not taste like the salt of the earth -\tThou shalt serve hot dogs on fresh, traditional hot dog rolls -\tThy hot dog roll shall never the star of the meal -\tThou shalt not serve watery sauce or sauce without depth of flavor -\tThou shalt mince thy sweet onion and not chop them -\tThou shalt serve brown deli mustard What I Liked: -\tThe hot dog was all beef -\tThe hot dog bun was fresh and was not the star of the meal -\tThe Texas Weiner sauce had a good depth of flavor -\tThe onions were sweet. Sweet, minced onions always work better on a Texas Weiner. -\tThe brown deli mustard was very good and was available at the table What I Did Not Like -\tThe hot dog had no snap and was a tad salty -\tThe hot dog barely extended the roll on each end -\tThe Texas Weiner sauce was a bit watery -\tThe onions could have been minced finer -\tThe brown deli mustard was not available at the table My overall restaurant rating is 8.1/10 and ended up being our #3 Texas Weiner restaurant on the day. My Hot Diggity Dog rating is 7.9/10 Barks. It ended up being our #3 Texas Weiner on the day.

Service was terrible. Very rude lady at the counter. Got the black bean burger which was very dry. I asked for spinach tomatoes and onions on my sandwich instead I just got one soggy tomato. Overall experience was a zero. If I could give zero stars I would. Very disappointed.

I’m finished with my meal. However, my family still eating and the worker started mopping and now we start smelling FABOLOSO!!!! I’m very happy that they are clean!!!!!! However, it’s very strong to smell when you’re eating ??♀️

Was in the area and wanted to grab something quick and good. Grabbed a fresh natural fruit smoothie and a Texas weiner combo all under $20 and it was AMAZING! I will absolutely be coming here when I’m craving a goood texas hotdog
