I love the taste of their Mapa Tofu, but recently I started wearing a CGM and I realized it gives me a big insulin spike. Still love the taste but will eat it less often.
We went to Lotus Garden a month ago and went again tonight, and it was just as perfect the second visit. We ordered the pan fried meat dumplings and the rice cakes Shanghai style. The dumplings were the best I have ever had. The wrapper was home made and deliciously chewy, the meat was juicy and flavorful, and the sauce that came with it was incredible. The rice cakes were out of this world good. If you’ve never had Asian rice cakes before, they are like a bouncy chewy rice noodle, the texture is similar to a firm mochi. The texture of the rice cakes at Lotus Garden are perfection. The sauce was extremely flavorful, salty, umami, sour, and sweet all at the same time. It came with shrimp, pork, cabbage, and shiitake mushrooms, all of which were delicious. The waiter was very attentive and funny. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant and my family will definitely be coming back!

My boyfriend and I were extremely disappointed with the service here. We arrived around 6:30 PM, and shortly after sitting down, we ordered a Sprite—which came with a cup of ice that had a bug in it. Then we waited over an hour for our food while the staff continuously served other tables and walked past us without any acknowledgment. We were seated right in front of the store, clearly visible, yet completely ignored. It felt like they forgot our order ,it made the experience frustrating and upsetting.
We won’t be returning!!

Came in and ordered a sprite. There’s a dead bug in there. Then ordered dinner, waited for almost an hour and then the waitress came back completely forgot our order. It seems like the restaurant staff is only nice to white people, and rude to Asian people?! Two tables of them came later than us got their foods first and finished yet our foods still didn’t come. Disappointed.

The Chinese people say this place is great, but I’ve tried it three times and disagree. It’s just not ideal for a midwesterner. The lamb dry pot was good, but too hot relative to dry pot in NY or Philly. The “beef Chow Fun” was clearly prepared using a white meat. Lost confidence in waitress when she said “maybe it’s beef”. Nobody could tell what animal it was.

We had a gathering of 15 people there. Very happy with the food and serviece. Thanks!
I ordered chicken and broccoli here. Unfortunately, it took me a few bites before I realized that every piece of chicken was dark meat only. I have never liked dark meat. I am a senior, and in my entire life, I have never been to a Chinese restaurant that did not automatically serve white meat on a chicken and broccoli order. I also know that there nearby competitor, PF Chang's certainly would automatically serve white meat chicken with the broccoli. I told the manager about my experience. He was not the least bit empathetic. He told me that if I wanted so much as wanted discount off the bill, he he had to telephone the owner. I never heard of a restaurant where the manager has no authority. I'd never go back.
