We visited the Wharfside while staying in Lavallette NJ. Plenty of parking. No salad or bread with your meal but they did serve corn fritters which were so so. Our waitress was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We started with the jumbo shrimp cocktail which was very tasty and actually “jumbo”. We then had the cold water lobster tails which came with French fries and great tasting coleslaw. The tails were not very large but they were extremely tasty and sweet. For desert...
The food was very good. Our waiter was very apathetic to us, not sure if he was having a bad day or wasnt happy we didnt order extra things with our meal. Both main courses we ordered were close to the most expensive choice you could choose. We had a window seat and enjoyed watching the boat traffic.
Everytime I'm in town vacationing, this is a MUST stop restaurant for me to eat and/or have a drink! Sometimes even multiple times during my stay. Great food & service and the views on the Bay are some of the best around! Plus a very big covered outside dining room! Love the new renovated modern large square bar & area. Hits all marks on the checklist! I've been coming here as a kid with my parents as well so it's also nostalgic to me
