Great spot! The super friendly employees are very attentive. It’s a local gang but welcoming to everyone. Bands are high energy and fun. Juke box is jamming all day and night. TVs everywhere to show all the games/events. Updated menu and decent drink selections. Happy hour 3-6 with good deals and specials on various days throughout the week. Always a good time! 😊
I highly recommend! Everything was top notch. The food was amazing, professional and friendly staff, and the atmosphere was on point. The owner was even present , making sure that everybody had what they needed. We will definitely be back to this gem!
Idle Hour Restaurant & Bar is one of those places that just feels real to me. The place goes all the way back to 1938, when the United States itself was only about 162 years old. Think about that for a second. Before the Garden State Parkway became what it is today, before rock and roll, before color television, people were already gathering there for food, drinks, laughs, stories, and probably a little harmless trouble once in a while.
