Got a banh mi with grilled pork to go. Sadly, it was not the traditional sandwich nor barely had any pork. Mint and lettuce was in the sandwich instead of cilantro and had very little pickled carrots or cucumbers. The bread was a half a hoagie roll and smothered with mayo. Hopefully it was an off day and they will stick to the traditional banh mi staple ingredients.

I was excited to get warm with soup after Pompton Lakes’ Holiday Stroll. I got the Hot Lemongrass Beef Pho. This is hands down the best pho I’ve had since leaving California. Boiling Pho is legit!! The noodles were chewy and not soggy. The beef brisket was so tender. The sliced beef was fresh. The broth was immaculate on a cold night and super flavorful. Nothing beats a good bowl of pho. I can’t wait to include this place in my weeknight dinner rotation! Thank you for the great food, atmosphere, and service!!

Everything we ordered was tasty. Wished they have other options besides seafood that has shellfish for those with allergies. They should be able to get meats, fish and vegetables for their hotpot.

Not going to lie. We went looking for pho in the area and completely missed this place being a combo restaurant having seafood boils. Definitely a first for me. Banh mi was definitely not traditional at all but still good. Pho broth a lil bit on the plainer side, but def worth going for again.

We stopped in for lunch because online it said this place was open until 9pm. The restaurant was completely empty — so much so that I had to call out for someone to even come greet us. We were finally seated, but quickly noticed how hot and uncomfortable the dining area was (no AC running).
As we were eating, I started to feel uncomfortable because the server was staring at me from the kitchen — not just a glance, but an unbroken, almost intense stare that didn’t stop until I asked for a to-go box. When I mentioned it to my partner, that’s when he pointed out a tiny handwritten sign taped to a side window (not the front door, not the front window) saying they closed from 3–4:30. We had arrived around 2:20, and I still didn’t even notice the sign when we walked out. At no point did the server mention they were closing soon when asking if we wanted to dine in or take out.
To make matters worse, when it came time to pay, our bill was about $40. I handed over a $50 (the smallest bill I had), but the server told me she “didn’t have change.” There were no signs saying “cashless,” “no bills over $20,” or anything like that. In fact, they encourage cash payments by offering a discount. I offered smaller bills that didn’t cover the full total, and she just repeated that she had no change — leaving us stuck tipping nearly $10 for a meal we couldn’t even enjoy.
The food itself wasn’t bad, but the lack of transparency, the suffocating heat, the server’s intense staring, and the unprofessional handling of payment made this a very disappointing experience.

Very good pho and Vietnamese food, although I would say the flavors are on the mild side. The lobster and crab were very overcooked, which was. Quite a disappointment. Also the waitress forgot to give us the garbage bowl for the shells.

I ordered their house standard Pho, and it was outstanding, as good as any I have previously had. This was my first time ordering take out from Boiling Pho, and I was pleasantly surprised. I would happily return to this new local restaurant.
