I was looking for restaurant in the area. One I had not been to. I stumbled on this restaurant and was not disappointed. It is a BYOB..That can be a plus...Well the food was incredible. The Risotto I ordered was cooked to perfection. We had a great evening. We ran into friends who were there celebrating a birthday. I can't get the Risotto out of my mind...I am going back to order it again...

Big Anniversary dinner with the wife - the ones that end in a zero. She loves risotto and this restaurant was highly rated and makes verious risotto dishes. Arrived at 6:30 for res and was immediately seated at a table right in front of the kitchen where u can see right in. Not complaining at all, but it does become important as you will soon see. The waitress at about 6:40 comes by and starts the preliminary waitress to diner process and was about to tell us the specials when she suddenly stops and says "I'm not sure this is my table. I'll have to check" and walks away. This was not a teenager in her first waiting job, this was a mature person who clearly had waiting experience. Should have been our warning sign. Five minutes later, she comes back and informs of specials. Okay, we're off. Wife orders caesars salad and a shrimp, bacon risotto and I order clams casino and a med rare strip steak with the Gordon Ramsey sauce. The waitress asked if I wanted mashed potatoes with it, and since that sounded good to me, I said "yes, thank you." I assumed it was included, but that assumption was on me. After a loooong wait, and a couple of mentions that the food was coming or would be out soon, the appetizers finally arrived. My wife's salad was non-descript - far from the best and far from the worst. Definitely not a lot provided. My clams were OUTSTANDING. They were a combination of classic baked clams with the breading and sauce and classic clams casino with bacon and were delicious. Now another long wait for our main courses. Now, neither my wife nor I generally care about the wait between meals. Her family owned a couple of restaurants and know that sometimes you unexpectedly get short-staffed. We don't have a problem with that at all. But, the wait staff should be upfront about it. Well, we figured that was the issue about halfway thru our wait for the appetizer, but not informed by the waitress until LONG after our appetizer dishes had left the table. We had previously kept looking into the kitchen expecting to see a sloth as the chef. Finally, finally, the main course arrives. My wife's risotto dish was very good. My steak and mashed arrived. Steak was on its own plate. The Gordon Ramsey sauce (very good) was in its own large bowl as were the mashed potatoes (with black pepper on top). Now, I'm originally from Brooklyn and I know tough. Well, this steak was TOUGH. How tough was it? When I lifted my knife and went to cut the steak, it pulled its own switch blade knife on me and sneared at me "come on, I dare you mofo." Truthfully, I can't imagine a steak at one of those chain steakhouses - Sizzler, Ponderosa, Outback - being more tough. The dessert (chocolate mousse cake) was very good and the cappucino was fine (but scalding hot, so beware). Afer another long wait, we get the check. My mashed was $12. Wait, what? Now, I already admitted that I had wrongly assumed the side was included. That's on me. But $12 for regular mashed? I could have sworn I saw the Betty Crocker instant potato bag in the kitchen. I mean $6 or, in these high inflationary times, perhaps $9 - but $12???!!! In any event, I did not complain nor raise the issue and after another LONG wait the check with my credit card (4% fee added - which we were told about and were informed could be avoided by paying cash when the check was first dropped off) was finally picked up by the waitress. So, in summary, much of the food was very good, some was okay and the steak was not. Restaurant definitely needs to be better at communication with diners.

This was such an amazing experience. The food here is phenomenal, very highly recommend! The bread and the dough are sensational. Super light and airy, and delivers the perfect crust. All the food is superb here, and this spot is definitely a must-try if you are vegetarian or vegan. So many options! They have vegan cheese, so you can essentially make any pizza you want and swap out the cheese. Their vegan chicken parm was probably the finest faux chicken we have tried yet. Can't wait to return!!PS- Absolutely thrilling to meet chef Anton!!

Excellent food and wonderful service. From the bread served at the table ( So light and fluffy!!) to the amazing cappuccino to end the evening, I recommend this restaurant to all. Our favorite appetizer was the Jekle and Hyde calamari. For dinner, Each of us had something different and all swore ours was the best! I had the steak because I couldn't resist the lure of a perfectly done aged piece of perfection. My husband had the pork chop. It was enormous and he ate every inch of it until I had to wave the checkered flag!! Treat yourself to a cappuccino to end this dinner. It is worth it Our server was Francesca. She spoiled my husband with the mouthwatering bread We adore you

We had my son's communion party for 25 people at Axton's recently. I wish I could give the review 10 stars. Anton, the owner and chef made the day such a wonderful experience for everyone. The staff was very friendly, the dacor was perfect, and the menu was outrageous. We had the restaurant all to ourselves and was a perfect size for our group to have space to mingle but also sit down and have a nice meal. Anton called me several times prior to the event to arrange the menu and the seating, decorations, etc. Nothing was left a chance and he was thoughtful in every respect. The price was very very good especially considering the delicious food and attention that we had. I highly recommend private parties and and also going there for dinner with friends as we always have a great time.

Nice atmosphere. Excellent food. Had the shrimp bisque and salmon risotto. Desert was a beautiful cannoli stuffed crepe. Presentation was 5 star elegant. Portions sizes were generous. This is a gem of a restaurant. Highly recommend!

Here's the deal: very cozy BYOB in a unassuming strip of stores. The tables have a view into a open view kitchen (glass wall help cut unnecessary sounds). The menu has a wonderful combo of pasta, chicken & meats. Also specials available that are usually in the $30-45 range. Service was great and friendly ! Make reservations!

Delicious! We order takeout from here all the time but recently had our first dine-in experience. The food here is always fantastic - you can tell it's going to be great by the bread. The restaurant is a very cute & cozy space. Service is quick, the waitress was attentive. Would love to come back to dine-in.

Quite disappointed. Ordered 2 pies, one white, one bacon. Waited over an hour and a half for the 2 pies. I can deal with that, but the pizzas both arrived stale. You had to really bite down and pull hard to break a piece off. The white pie is seriously lacking in flavor. The bacon pie hardly had any bacon on it. Really quite disgraceful at $21+ per pie. Anytime I order a bacon pie elsewhere it’s pretty well loaded. See below.

I've been here twice recently. Both times I was unimpressed. Had eggplant and chicken parm sandwiches last time. They were just ok. Actually, the eggplant parm was a notch below ok. Kind of mushy. And onions. They love to use onions. I'm not a fan, and I know that's on me, but it was a bit much.
