Had a great time here with friends. Good food, fantastic service, and a nice table to chat away the night. Didn't get to take any pictures, but it's basically a pub style with plenty of tables right on the main street in Pompton Lakes. We hadn't been in this area for a LONG time. We went around the corner and there was St Mary's church where we got married 41 years ago last week!!!

The food at Mack's is phenomenal. Every time we go, we really enjoy the food we've ordered. Sometimes it makes me wonder why they aren't more packed. You can usually get a table immediately regardless of when you go. The service has always been fantastic as well. The atmosphere though I don't believe is on the same level as the food. It feels a little dark, and is not the most inviting. They do have TVs behind the bar, but I would suggest this place more as a good sit down meal than a sports bar. All in all, I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a great meal, and offer a suggestion to try the specials, they are always good.
We had good service here, we were seated immediately and our waitress was very nice. The atmosphere was good. That being said, we won't be back. The entree I ordered took nearly an hour to come out, and when it did it was very sad looking. Our table was shocked that they were charging $22 for what you see in the picture. I ate it anyway, as by then we just wanted to finish our meal and leave, and it was fine. The food was all fresh, and everyone else liked their dishes, but this isn't the place for us.

Party of 5 went to this establishment while in area for a wake, a friend who was not apart of the 5 recommended it. I was reluctant to go to a BAR and grill thinking what kind of food will they have. To my surprise not only did they have full menu but food specials. I ordered a steak sandwich which turned out to be real cut of meat (not shaved steakems). They also had a nice selection of tap beer. Couple of people in our party ordered 2 shots which macks also had full assortment of alcohol. My opinion this little place was a great experience for Bar and grill and if back in this area would definitely stop in for a bite. Prices were reasonable. Although we didn't eat in dining room but at the bar. Bar staff was pleasantly nice.
Ordered the linguini And clam sauce with shrimp last night... It had no taste whatsoever... The Progresso clam sauce in a can is much better.

Food was delicious - at least one order was. The clam and shrimp linguini ate through the cardboard (!) container on the 2 mile drive back to the hotel. I didn't notice the wet bag until it ended up on the hotel lobby floor... right in front of the front desk, of course. What I could salvage was delicious. I know NJ has outlawed plastic, but at least get some containers that can make a 3 minute trip.

Great dinner and friendly staff. I loved the wings (lemon and fresh garlic) appetizers. Just like Nonna used to make. Smelled great. Can’t go wrong with the specials. Frutta de Mare was perfecto! I enjoyed the clams, mussels, calamari and shrimp over a bed of risotto with a light tomato sauce. Had plenty so I could take some home too!
