The Princeton location is my favorite local place for a cappuccino and dessert. Very few places make a European quality cappuccino as Chez Alice does. Service is friendly, prices are reasonable and the Ambience is definitely very French and lovely. When weather permits, I generally will sit outside at the café tables under the awning. Bonus, the cafe is dog, friendly!

Have been ordering cake for bdays and office meetings since 2000, their cakes are excellent, pastries are ok.Lately the main issue is the size (they only make 7" or half-sheet) nothing for 15-20 ppl (most meetings). Pastry room and little chef are other options for medium size gatherings.

I have gone to Chez Alice a few times and all have been great experiences. I have had dessert, coffee, sandwich and their soup all of which have been delicious. The people that work there are very nice and the few times I have been there Faith, and Miranda have been extremely kind and very helpful. What a cozy place to go to, though I do wish it was a bit bigger, but I feel that adds to the charm. Highly recommend this place if your strolling around Princeton.

Insanely busy. Two separate locals tell me they've never encountered Chez Alice THAT busy. Nevertheless, there were a ton of things to pick from. From savory to sweet. The line is chaotic as everyone's going in different directions to look at the three different cases then back-tracking to the only register which is dead center. Staff, too, was all over the place. There were about 4/5 workers but maybe because they were so busy, they just weren't all that friendly. The restaurant itself was chez Parisienne but super untidy which is understandable considering how busy they were. Maybe have one of those 4/5 staff focus on the tidiness. In any case, the food looked EXCELLENT! Top notch and precise. Cakes, cake slices, macarons, croissants, sandwiches, teas, the lot. I got the Mushroom & Onion Danish to-go & sat al fresco. It was scrumptious but I wish they offered to warm it up a tad. Four stars for the flavor. Everything else was so-so.

Chez Alice's cakes are delicious IF you're able to get the correct one. We have had 2 instances where our pre-ordered cake has been misplaced or wasn't available when we went to pick it up. They told us to simply "pick another cake from what was left for the day" as though it wasn't a big deal. Why should I ever bother to place an order if they will never have what I order.

i live about 25 minutes from Princeton and have been to the area plenty of times but never stopped in here! I came this past Sunday in the morning and the most polite young ladies were working, I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a latte, all came out within minutes of ordering! The young lady with blonde hair made my latte and was ready before I even finished ordering! the lady who made the sandwich brought it to my table and was very kind. I didn't get their names but the one girl with glasses even came up to me while i was enjoying my food and chatted with me for a couple minutes to see how everything was! I will definitely be coming back here with my family. overall just wonderful staff and service.
