Homestyle cooking with carefully prepared dishes that have a personal touch. Portions are on the smaller side but still satisfying.

I came with my partner we were excited about the place bc she's from Turkey and we wanted to try some national food, prices are are kinda expensive but still good flavor and decent portions in my situation I felt totally ignored by the server who only addressed my gf bc she's from Istanbul as well. Any attempt to call him or ask about the menu he did a disgust face and told my partner in their language she should explain me the plates and make a quick order instead of having a contact with me. (bro if you're a server that's your job, be kind and interact with all the customers you're serving) even she told me she felt this disgust and complained about the bad service. They don't have apple pay and I had to use another card while the tip went automatically but I wish I'd never tip 18% over a 80 bucks for a meal with that awful service. In the other hand the dessert was awesome but I'm not willing to have this service again.

Efes has definitely gone down hill. Way too expensive , food was just so so, small plates. And tables were very small. Plus to top it off my water glass had lipstick stains, yuk! Not going back.

We were in the area on Mon Jul 29, 2024 around 11:20ish. Reading about all the good food reviews about the place, we thought about trying the place.
The outdoor seating had 1 table occupied and the inside looked quite empty.
As there was a sign which said “wait to be seated” we waited.
The lady server was talking with the customer couple who was the lone occupant of the outdoor seating. We mentioned to the server that we would like to see the menu before we decide to sit.
We waited around 10 minutes, but could not get any menu, and no seating. The server went in and out, but we were completely ignored in that 10 minutes.
This was our service experience when the restaurant was almost empty. We wonder if the treatment is for everybody or only for us.
No stars given for food as could not taste the food from this place.

I accidentally walked into this place thinking it was the Thai that's next door to it. So glad that mistake bought us here, the dishes & servers were great! Love it!

The food was good. We traveled out of our way just to get here. My wife was greeted by a man who seemed mad we were there. We ordered some food to go since the outside seating was full. We were warned that if we took food to go we will not be able to sit down. I made sure I had my receipt in hand when I later asked to use their restroom. I did enjoy my doner sandwich but my wife’s salad was all iceberg lettuce and tasteless.

Beware of what you’re paying for! They put an 18% gratuity by default!

I came to order for a takeout. One male server helped me with my order while another female server was organizing other orders behind him. When I was about to checkout, I noticed there’s an 18% gratuity in my total. I asked the server what this is. He didn’t know how to explain and just said it’s a gratuity. Luckily, they don’t take ApplePay so I had to go back to my car to get my wallet. After I came back with my card and was trying to clarify what that charge was, the female server just jumped in, and she said,
“It’s just our system. It POPS OUT FROM TIME TO TIME. It just comes out ONCE IN A WHILE. We told our boss about this, but he also doesn’t know what’s wrong with the machine. I CAN REMOVE this charge for you. You don’t have to pay it.”
So I could checkout without that unwilling charge.

Even though the servers all had a good attitude, but I’m not buying any of those explanations, which makes no logical sense. Gratuity should be a willing and spontaneous gesture of gratitude, not a sneaky hidden charge without consent (and notification).

Beware of what you’re paying for before you checkout!

PS. Their system even still has a tipping option after you swipe your card (other than the “automatic 18% gratuity”)! If I hadn’t checked, I would’ve paid tip twice!

We were so disappointed with the food this time.In past always looked forward to get food from this restaurant. This the food was totally sub par in all aspects. Quality quantity and taste was well below from the standard we expect .Guys you need to look into your quality control.
