A successful girls night out! Cozy vibes for tonight’s false spring in Princeton. We came for the $45 for 3-course menu, which delighted with generous portions. My friend, a blonde, had the French Blonde, and 10/10 would recommend. Mushroom Tart, Mussels Frites, and Tarte Tatin were 👩🏻‍🍳😘👌🏻

We had a great meal here! As a French person myself, I can confidently say that the food was very good, a mix of bistrot and traditional sunday’s cuisine. The starters were good, and the main dish, coq au vin, was delicious. You can tell the meat was of high quality. We also really enjoyed the Restaurant Week experience, it’s a great initiative, so thank you! We also noticed the chef personally serving during busy times, which was really nice to see. And our waitress was amazing, she pronounced all the French dish names so well, and she was super kind, always coming by to check on us, almost a bit too often, but in a good way!

The mussels are out of this world delicious: plump, tender, not a single unopened shell in a wonderful broth/sauce. My only complaint was where we were seated. Not scenic to look at two low under-the-counter refrigerators. Hence the 3 stars on atmosphere. I've been there several times, and this was the worst table I've ever had.

Poisoned my friend with undercooked mussels. He had to go to the ER and almost ended up with holes in his stomach.

Dined at Kristine’s during Princeton Restaurant Week and overall had a good experience. The restaurant is fairly small and the tables are a bit close together, but it still had a nice, cozy atmosphere.

Food breakdown:

Vegetable terrine: 2/5
Nice texture but it lacked flavor. I would recommend skipping this one.

Steak tartare: 5/5
Very solid tartare with great flavor and texture.

Coq au vin: 3.5/5
The chicken had a nice red wine flavor, although it was a little on the dry side.

Duck confit: 4.5/5
Good portion size. The duck was tender and flavorful, but the fries were a bit soggy and could have been crispier.

Brittany butter cake: 2/5
The cake itself was dense and somewhat dry. The butterscotch sauce was the highlight.

Chocolate mousse: 5/5
Delicious. Creamy, smooth, and well balanced. I would definitely recommend it.

Espresso gelato: 4/5
Nice texture, but the flavor was not particularly memorable.

Overall, it was a solid meal with a few standout dishes.

I was at Kristine's today to celebrate my 40th birthday and had a wonderful time! The entire staff was very helpful; I was able to drop off my cake in the afternoon and they managed to accommodate 3 extra guests at my party of 11. The waiter, Sergio, was very professional, kind, friendly, and didn't rush us at all (our reservation was at 7 pm and the restaurant closes at 8 pm). Thank you so much for making my day extra special!!!

If I could give more stars, I would. This place is intimate and beautiful. It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers genuinely engaging staff alongside top-tier food. Every dish felt intentional, with staff who were enthusiastic and knowledgeable about what they served. I will absolutely be back. You truly can’t put a price on an experience like this.

Nothing special regarding ambience. Too lit up for my taste. More of a diner experience.

Sat at bar who provided solid service

Not sophisticated by any stretch of imagination for drinks but solid and reasonably priced.

Modest number of choices for eating with unique options. Above average

Terrific food, attentive and knowledgeable staff, and a great atmosphere. Attentive wait staff that knew the menu and preparations well. Lobster bisque was a nice take on it- not heavy, light, very lobster. Would go again.

Busy location..We arrived early and the bar was full, so we walked around while waiting for our reservation. The server gave great recommendations and paid great attention to detail of requests. That said I didn't think the service was overly attentive. When our wine glasses were empty, they simply cleared our glasses-instead of offering another round. The lobster bisque was the highlight of the meal. The escargot was good. Dinner came warm. We had steak fries-yummy, idiot lamb- good flavor not the most tender, duck-fall off the bone, a little salty~each came with a frisee salad and fresh made French fries, we also had a leg of lamb. Overall, it was good, nothing truly special. For dessert we ordered, chocolate souffle-really good (worth ordering ahead), creme brulee-good (no fruit, no toppings), apple tart was meh. Ultimately, it was good, in not sure we would revisit this restaurant.
