love the place, loved all the cats, the staff was awesome, very knowledgeable and caring, definitely going back , it a shame I live about an hour away or I would be there more
We just visited today for the first time so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The online reservation process was very easy. All the staff/volunteers were SO nice & friendly, too. The place is warm & inviting, with toys to play with the cats, and lots of room to interact or sit with them. Rahway Kitty Hall-Cat Lounge is a cozy and friendly place where visitors can enjoy spending time with sweet, playful cats. The staff is very nice, chatty, and caring, often sharing fun facts about the cats. The lounge offers plenty of space for both cats and visitors to walk around and sit comfortably. Most cats are sleepy or sleep during visits, but they become active and playful when treats are given, providing a fun and relaxing experience. The lounge is kept clean, with no bad odor reported, and visitors are given disposable shoe covers to help maintain cleanliness. It is a small, cozy space with toys and seating areas for interaction. Visitors can reserve an hour online, sign a waiver, and pay around $10 to spend time with the cats. There are no food or drinks for sale, and picking up cats is not allowed. The lounge features a bathroom inside and offers street parking with meters or apps. While it is not wheelchair accessible, the staff’s caring attitude and the opportunity to meet many adorable cats make it a worthwhile visit. Overall, Rahway Kitty Hall-Cat Lounge is a great place to chill out, have fun, and enjoy the company of lovable cats.
