We get all our birthday cakes here for years now. They have hard and soft serve. Also not just Vanilla or chocolate soft serve either. Today they had pistachio and another flavor.
Custom cakes as well as the regulars like fudgy the whale ready to go. Also UFOs and dipped cones.

Clean establishment, fast and friendly service, excellent ice cream. There is a table or two that you can use to sit and dine in but it definitely has to-go atmosphere.

Ordered a chocolate malted - clearly the girl working never made one before and appeared to be first day on the job. I asked repeatedly if she put malt in, she said yes twice, she did not. They generally serve with option of whip cream, she didn’t ask. They also put in chocolate syrup, she didn’t know how much. They also serve with an open cup, she threw out the top and replaced 3 times and she kept adding milk. Apparently, you can make a bad tasking milkshake/ malted if you have zero training.
I appreciate the youth working, but please try and train them on how to prepare items first. I ended up tossing the “shake” in the garbage ?️. Next time I’ll stick to the owners, who do know how to serve the various recipes. #disappointing

Carvel is Carvel, a long running ice cream franchise. The one in Ramsey has been around for decades now, so they're doing something right. I've had nothing but positive interactions with the folks serving ice cream.

The person that was in front of me ordered his ice cream, received his ice cream then paid. For some reason I had to wait for all of the ice creams to be made so she “can count them”… there were 4 of us. Either she can’t count or it was a problem that minorities came in. Either way I guess my money isn’t green.

Glad to see adults running the store. Owner was very helpful with answering my questions. After going to Dairy Queen in Allendale, NJ before, which was not open - even though it said 12 noon, and I was there from 12 to 12:30, Carvel created a fantastic ice cream cake, just the way I requested. The price was fair and I NOW have a new place for any occasion. Thank you Carvel....
I wish they would get carvelite! It’s so much better than regular soft serve

He handles the ice cream cones with his bare dirty hands! This is very unsanitary and against health regulations. He should have wrappers already around the ice cream cones like Dairy Queen has. This is the proper way to handle food. Also the establishment is not that clean :(
