The food is exquisite, the wait staff does a phenomenal job and the Marcello is, as always, charming. One of our very favorite places to dine....and that's a short list :)”

“Always great food and a favorite. We've been getting takeout here for years since we moved to the area during the pandemic.The red lentil soup is my favorite and the spanakopita is amazing! We've had most items on the menu, you really can't go wrong. I prefer the Chicken Shih which is grilled and marinated chicken over the Chicken Gyro but they are both good. My husband enjoys the lamb.Because the dinning room isn't open yet and the blinds often closed, I think a lot of folks don't know it's open. It's a hidden gem in Ramsey and right near the train station.”

“Took my son here for lunch. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. I would definitely eat here again. The staff was polite and friendly. Atmosphere was a bit outdated but I didn’t care. Good selection of food. We’re stuffed.”

“Very impressed! I honestly never thought I would like a meal like this. The bowls are packed with flavor. I had the Ponzu Salmon. Recommend a dash of the ginger sauce on top too. Wish this place was closer to my home. If your looking for a quick healthy meal then this is your place.”

“I've been a big fan for many years. This visit was disappointing. Mussels full of broken shell pieces, calamari was soggy, and pizza lacked flavor. :( did they change the sauce???”

“I can't complain. The pizza was amazing, I was immediately greeted and asked what I wanted to eat in a busy lunch rush. I sat down and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Love this place now, can't wait to eat here again :)Parking: Handicap parking is available as well.”

“Tawara is the hidden gem of NJ! I stumbled upon this restaurant during a road trip last year, and have made it a point to return to the area specifically so I can dine at Tawara again. This place makes the list as one of my favorite restaurants of all time. The pork buns are some of the most delicious things you will ever taste. The sunset roll, spicy beef and sashimi have all been fresh and incredible. Everything I’ve tried on their menu is top quality and taste. Raika is also an excellent hostess, bringing a warm and friendly vibe that makes you feel at home. Overall amazing and highly recommended!”

“Went here on St. Patrick's day. They were in full party mode as one would expect and hope for. It was memorable but the music was a bit to loud for me as it was almost impossible to have a conversation. I'm sure some others would disagree. The Irish food was pretty good, The beer was the best part. Had a Guinness of course.”
