“We threw a drop-in Buffet dinner for family and friends at Houlihans for 30 to 35 people. The room is spacious and accommodated everyone comfortably. Our server Eileen was excellent and the food was delicious. Michelle who assisted with the catering was very detail oriented and help me plan a great event. Sebastian the manager as extremely gracious and helped ensure our guests were taken care of. I would definitely do it again and highly recommend..“

The people here are always ready for the lunch rushes and constantly give back to the community, from simple posters on their windows to directly supporting the Ramsey district, they have played their part in uplifting our community. Additionally, the highschool lunch rushes to get here are no joke, with some running to make sure they are first to get here.“

“We had our holiday party here and the experience was excellent. The staff was extremely accommodating, making everything run smoothly. The food was beyond outstanding as usual! This time we started with 3 apps that I tried. A salmon tatar, raw oysters on a half shell and shrimp. We like to eat and love our food lol. Soo sooo good- Then I ordered the tuna that had a perfect crispy crust on the outside and rare on the inside with a delicious wasabi sauce along side black rice and steamed bok choy. Incredibly delicious Would definitely go back! Highly recommend!l“

“Just had brunch at White Maple Cafe. This place has such a beautiful, cozy atmosphere, in the middle of the lovely town of Ridgewood. We had the chicken wings, short rib benedict, and sandwiches. All the food is extremely high quality, delicious, and tastes like it was made with love! The owner Maryam is the most kind, welcoming, and caring host, as well as a great barista! I highly recommend this place for any occasion. Support this business - they deserve all the love!“

“Taco Thursday’s! Who doesn’t like a taco? Food is very fresh and best Mexican food around. Margaritas are made fresh with squeezed limes not a mix. One of my favorite places for Sunday breakfast! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming.“

“I'll be honest - I had pretty low expectations given my picky NYC taste buds but this place DELIVERS. The food is rich in flavor, plated like Gordon Ramsay is waiting with a camera crew, and very family friendly. I have a 4 year old and 2.5 year old, and it was so easy with them. There's a huge lawn for them to expend energy and it's in a very quiet little enclosure so it's very safe. The staff are very nice - like they could easily be kindergarten teachers. Definitely adding this spot into my weekly ventures. I almost didn't even wanna leave the review so it remains a hidden gem but they deserve all the business and then some. Thank you!“

“We have been shopping here as our main grocery store pretty much since it opened. While it is a smaller Whole Foods, it tends to have a good stock of a good variety of items, both fresh and packaged. It is generally clean (with one exception, see below) and most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is an Amazon Locker here, so you can get your Amazon packages delivered to this locker, do your shopping, and then pick up your package all in one trip. There are a two issues I very much wish they would fix. For one thing, the restrooms are consistently not clean. This is a suburban store and doesn't get the volume of customers that an NYC store gets, but they don't seem to be able to keep the restrooms in good order. My other issue has to do with what they choose to stock in a couple of categories. The first is orange juice. I always look for organic orange juice not in a clear container (so as not to compromise Vitamin C). I just want organic orange juice in an opaque container the way it comes -- not pulp-free, not extra-pulp, not with Vitamin D added, etc. They never stock this. My other stocking issue has to do with ice cream. They have all kinds of interesting flavors, several kinds of dairy-free options, etc. but I just want a pint of premium, organic vanilla ice cream, straight up. This can sometimes be found but often they don't have it on the shelf even though they carry all kinds of great brands that would offer it. If only this store remedied these two issues, they'd be five stars for sure!“

“We haven't been in a couple of years. We had our daughter's wedding at the Hilton in 2022 and the food was always excellent. We especially remember one of their signature dishes , the short ribs. I don't know if it was a bad night, they changed the recipe or changed the chef, but it was nothing like we remembered. Too bad, very disappointing.“

“I used to live in nyc. Since moving to jersey years ago, i have been looking for a place that does Falafel and gyro platters the new york way. This spot is exactly that and no other spot compares! Ive tried so many disappointing falafels in jersey. This one was perfect! Exactly the same as my fav cart in NYC. I used to have to go to nyc when i craved this so im so happy i no longer have to make that journey. Manhattan Halal Gyro has to be one of the most underrated restaurants in northern jersey. The team was friendly and lovely. The prices were insanely good! The quality was perfect. Good vegetables and loved the grilled onions on the platter. The sauces were exactly what they were supposed to be and the falafel was so perfect - soft but crunchy - exactly what i love in a good falafel.

This also tastes the same as the falafel i get when i visit family in the middle east.

“First time last night at Fire and Oak. Where do I start??? The atmosphere is so amazing. Our server Damian, was top notch.....attentive, super sweet and did not rush us at all. Let's get to the food.....was unforgettable. My son and daughter in law had the spinach/artichoke dip and burrata. My husband and I split one of the best wedge salads we've ever had. Dinner entrees were prime rib with loaded baked potato and the pork chop. All of us enjoyed every bit. Dessert was a 4 way split of oreo cheesecake, tiramisu and key lime pie. What a delicious end to a most enjoyable evening. We will DEFINITELY be back. Thank you Fire and Oak for a memorable night.“
