“Went here on St. Patrick's day. They were in full party mode as one would expect and hope for. It was memorable but the music was a bit to loud for me as it was almost impossible to have a conversation. I'm sure some others would disagree. The Irish food was pretty good, The beer was the best part. Had a Guinness of course.“
“Had a great time at Houlihan's, Ramsey, NJ. "Maria the Great" was our waitress & she was the best! Excellent service! She was very knowledgeable about the menu, very upbeat, friendly, & we will definitely go back! Food was great too! Warm, cozy atmosphere. Go to Houlihan's in Ramsey! Ask for "Maria the Great" Order the Seared George Banks scallops! You won't be disappointed!“
“It wasn't the best. I've never been there before.i thought they would have more mexicN foodMy carna sada was supposed to come with ri e & black beans but didn't & the steak wad full of grisle. My husband enjoyed his burger. The soup was good. I received a frozen margarita & I ordered on the rocks“
“The food is very good without having a huge, hard to choose from menu. All food that we've tried has been very good, but nothing beats the burger! Ambiance is great, but sometimes need to have the music turned down (loud in the bar area & it carries over to the dining room). Service is beyond wonderful! Price is accurate to what you are getting.“
“This place is a bit confusing because it's advertised online as an Indian restaurant and a diner but it's not either of those things. The inside atmosphere and the menu options are that of a restaurant, not a diner, and none of it is Indian. The food is excellent - many good salad and burger options, and great dinner entrees. Everything I've ever ordered from here has been good, is ready super fast, has always been correct, and packed well with condiments, etc for a to-go order. The hardest part of ordering/visiting here is there is never any parking. The parking lot next to the entrance is owned by another company and blocked off prohibiting access. Any time I have to pick up an order to go, I have to park down at the post office (about two blocks away), but the food has been consistently good so I will continue to order from here as long as I'm not in a rush.“
“Just what it should be! Comfortable inviting local pub with great food. Wings, burgers, pizzas, salads etc. we ordered 2 kinds of wings, garlic parmesan and buffalo. Super crispy with the right amount of sauce for the flavor and not ruin the crispness!“
“Our dining experience at Houlihan's restaurant in Paramus, NJ, was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for a memorable evening. The menu offered a great variety of options, and each dish we ordered exceeded our expectations. I had the stuffed chicken breast accompanied by asparagus and mashed potatoes, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. My son thoroughly enjoyed his chicken wings and fries, while my wife savored her top sirloin steak paired with a loaded baked potato. Our friend visiting from Ireland, a lovely lady, was delighted with the fish and chips, which she claimed rivaled those back home. The quality of the food was exceptional, and the presentation was equally impressive. Each dish was beautifully plated, showcasing the care and attention to detail that went into its preparation. The service at Houlihan's was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.Overall, our dinner at Houlihan's was a resounding success. The combination of delicious food, friendly service, and inviting atmosphere made for a great evening out. If you're looking for a fantastic dining experience in Paramus, NJ, look no further than Houlihan's. Highly recommended!“
“We got stranded in Tuxedo both before and after the Ren Fair and stopped into Reggie Bar to hang out. Everyone was so nice and welcoming there! I wish I remembered the names of the owners, but they were lovely! And we talked to a lot of the regulars too and everyone was so kind and helpful. Honestly we enjoyed our time here more than the fair, the vibes were so good. If we’re ever in Tuxedo again, we’ll definitely stop by!!“
“An awesome super friendly place to come. Welcomes everyone. Very unique place. The grill has a Caribbean flare, with curried onion burgers and stewed chicken. They make their rum punches on site and they're refreshing and taste authentic. They have many events and lots of live music. The bar is ridiculously clean. Can't really go wrong here, whether you're flying solo or running with friends. Can even bring kids earlier in the night. If you like cheese steak get the J*** cheese steak! Crazy good comfort food that one.And the service is super friendly!“
“Wow what a place.. it takes you back in time with cow boys & everything related to them in display across that huge place. The details they have gone through to design that place is commendable. Even the furniture fells like brought back from 1970s..now let's talk about the real thing.. food.. Five of us went & ordered 9 to 10 unique items and every one of them turned out good. Don't miss the Gauc made fresh at the table & so.me house drinks. Lastly the desert, wow wow they were one of the best..“
“We went over for the superbowl because some of the other restaurants in town were closed and we were very pleasantly surprised. I don't know why it wasn't on our radar sooner. We got a bunch of appetizers and they were all really good. The wings were stand-out. I will say that the portions were a little bit smaller than I was hoping, but at least everything tasted good. The drinks were reasonably priced and they made my wife a very respectable espresso martini with actual coffee in it. The owner came up to our table to check in on us and the host was very sweet and kind as well. They have large rooms that you can rent out for events which is pretty cool too and they have a bunch of TVs around for games and such. Its like a sports bar in some ways, but it feels like a more elevated experience than your average sports bar or pub. We will definitely be going back!Parking: Plenty of spots in the front of the building, the side, and the back. The handicap spots are to the right when you pull in so they are directly in front and the rest of the parking is to the left and then clockwise around the building.“
“Great local vibes here with a solid food and drink menu. Great service as well. Outdoor seating in the warmer months. My only knock is the noise. They have brick walls in the inside which don't absorb sound. It gets loud when crowded, which makes conversation a challenge. Something to consider if that's important you. Also, live music can be very loud. I wish they'd dial the volume down a tad on their speakers.“
“We came into the Barn and were thrilled with our service AND our meal AND DRINKS!!!!!!We met the owner when he first arrived at the BARN…..very nice man…..Last night we met the rest of the family with GREAT DELIGHT!!!!!!! Hope they get to read this as THEY WERE WONDERFUL….and the BARTENDER TOO!!!!!!Thank youCathy with a “C”Parking: The waitress told me about the new parking feature with all the tables & umbrellas….told me about Valet parking too!!!!!!!!“
“Had an absolutely fabulous time at Felina. The live music, ambience, food, and service was terrific. I ordered the rigatoni al Ragu and it was delicious, light, and the sauce was amazing. Great portion size. The place was packed but we could still hear ourselves talk. I had great waiters and the purple passion mocktail was sweet and tangy. Overall, will be back! Thank you for the free cookies.“
“yum yum this was a great last minute choice.. been wanting to try this spot for some time now. we started with the french fries, meatballs and the lolipop chicken.. all REALLY good! I the. got some sushi, the salmon roll and coconut shrimp roll. they were not terrible but just not my cup of tea. we also got a cheese burger with baked potatoe, super yummy! we ended with the chocolate lava cake, also very good. over all will definitely be back again, the vibe was great. our server, Billy was absolutely wonderful! so pleasant & knowledgeable of the menu, which I greatly appreciate:-)“
“My first time at this place and it was fantastic. We took 6 kids from our basketball team and all of these kids got different things and pretty much ate it all. I got Shepard pie which was good and the bar pie was phenomenal. Had a blast at this place and will return for sure.“
“The food was the best. As a hispanic this is extremely authentic food and it is cooked to perfection. The service is extremely good and me and my family loved it. The waitress was the nicest guy out there. To be honest, I ordered a burrito and it came out so good. I I could I would eat there every day best Mexican food in the area?“
“A very friendly place to go for your pub food. The beers are rotated often and they run extremely good specials. I genuinely enjoyed my overall experiences but the food is only solid. The menu is smallish but it covers enough options so a large group could find happy choices. I have eaten there four times and I have sampled most of the menu via my meals and sneaking a taste from others in my party. For me the downside to the food is the lack of the little details that takes a meal from "serviceably enjoyable" to genuinely tasty. Examples: Onions were not caramelized when requested. Cheesesteaks do not make it to both ends of the bread. When crispy fries were asked for they have not been delivered half the time. Little things. But they do make a difference. Luckily, they can be easily fixed. Regardless, it has a relaxed atmosphere and it serves great beer without pretentiousness.“
“This is a very nice spot. If you are a connoisseur of dive bars like I am, you will love the decor and vibe. The customers and bartender were all friendly. Price was about average I guess. Regarding food, they said they only had a small bar pie, and that limited menu sort of gave me the impression that it was probably frozen and heated up, so I passed on the food and just enjoyed a beer and the atmosphere. Definitely a nice spot to grab a drink though. Especially if you are a local in the area of this bar, I definitely recommend it. If you are a fellow dive bar connoisseur, put this one on your list, and unless you happen to be hungry at the time, I don't think you'll be disappointed at all. Go and enjoy!“
“Love this place. Good vibe with good food. This is our second time here and did not disappoint. Fresh fried mozzarella was really good. Not greasy either. I had the special stuffed sole and it was delish! My husband had the sliced steak which was okay. A little dry, not much flavor. Some garlic butter sauce would have been good. The drinks are perfect. The waiter exceptional!“
“Best Kettle One Extra Dirty Martini's ever with the most delicious olives. The potato skins, bourbon honey Buffalo wings, fresh guacamole, French onion soup and salads are fabulous. Been here several times and never disappointed. Arrive before 5:30 as it's always busy. The servers and managers are caring, diligent and very accommodating even during busy dining hours they do their best and hustle. It's become a favorite place to go with friends.“
“Finally came tonight after months of hearing good reviews from friends. My husband and I are definitely going to be regulars. There are so many different choices on the menu that we had a difficult time choosing. We decided to go with the onion soup and goat cheese salad for appetizers and Burger and Salmon for our entrees (which were all delicious!) Can't wait to try all their other options! Didn't have room for dessert, but the options looked so good! Service is on point and friendly. This is truly a hidden gem!“
“It was a nice place to have a meal. Kind of mid-lit trendy place. It was comfortable and our waitress was really friendly. Come to think of it, the hostess was really nice too. That set a good tone for the evening and we all loved our food. The Waygu burger in particular was amazing and cooked to perfection. The prices are a little high in general, but I would say they are about normal for Ridgewood. They have good cocktails for $18 each and they also have some nice local beers. There is a small side room that it looks like you could rent out, and it looks like it holds like 15 people or so.“
“I've been here a couple times for different things, a drink, a night out, and a couple showers. The place is perfect for a smaller shower. They have a buffet option that allows for a brunch option. Their food is delicious, especially their breakfast potato & onion option. They also have waffles, fresh made pancakes and omelets, pasta, chicken, a carving station, and more. Would recommend hosting something here but again, it's limited spacing.“
“I’ve been going to this diner for a couple of years waiting for it to disappoint but it never did. This place is great. The location itself is good. Always plenty of parking space. The service is excellent as well. They always great you with a smile. The food is delicious as well. I have no complaints. Once you sit down, the staff quickly asks you if you want coffee or something else to drink. The food comes out pretty quickly. They don’t play around with that. The food portions are also great. Best bang for your buck. Breakfast for two will run you about $40 plus Tip. I usually leave cash on the table. The bathrooms are always kept clean. Your coffee cup is always kept full and you never have to ask for a refill yourself. Some places you have to stand up and stare at your server for a refill but not at this location. Like I said, I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve never had a complaint. It’s usually busy on the weekends especially Sunday after church. If you’re in the area and want great food and service, this diner is perfect for you and your family. Enjoy and tell them Eddie sent you. (Which they have no idea who I am) lol. Enjoy the food and service.“
“Went back to Doghouse after a long hiatus and was pleasantly surprised that nothing changed except the live Jazz music on Thursday nights! Very cool! Food was the usual good greasy type except HUGE portions! My cheesesteak was large and tasty as well as my girl's grilled chicken sandwich... def get your moneys worth! Service was spotty but acceptable but then again it's a hometown pub, what do you expect? Stop in on Thursday nights for the live Jazz, saves a trip into the city!!“
“The food is always fresh; you can buy your fish at their market at the front of house. The restaurant can be a tad loud; but the food is outstanding, delicious, fresh and abundant. An amazing menu array, filled with everything from oysters to lobster to crab legs.In the area, Gillian’s is a quiet institution, known to locals and always serves up the freshest and the best.Enjoy!!Parking: Never had a problem in the past“
“Excellent music and cocktails are skillfully made with the right touch. The prices are reasonable and establishment is very well kept. I have a great time when I visit this establishment. Parking in the area could be a little difficult at times but the Lodge is in the process of paving the lot. I would say if your the kind of person who doesn't like getting up and going out by yourself, then you may want to call someone. Personally, there have been times I have went alone and had a great time as well going with someone.“
“Cute, family-run sports bar and grill. Locally recommended by hospitality staff at hotel we stayed at. Reliable and fresh wraps and sandwiches. Chicken fingers a la carte. Convenient location in a quaint center of town. Street parking available.“
“I always wanted to try this place but I was skeptical about the looks front outside. Parking lot it's a little small but I notice parking across the street from the business, so parking is not an issue. The place is not wheelchair accessible so if you have a problem like me going up/down stairs hold on thigh to the rail. Once inside I was greeted by a nice lady (owner maybe) and ask me if I reservation I said no but she got a table for me & my wife. Typical bar menu with an Asian twist, burgers with kimchi and teriyaki sauce, Asian nachos and tres leches wonton. The place is crowded but it's because is good ambience and the music is the best music I have ever heard in many restaurants I have been. Yeah the place is good overall, but the menu is very limited and the Asian flavor on almost every item not for me, but is ok to try.“
“Gildea's is an unforgettable Irish pub that I look forward to visiting when I come up from the city. Their Guiness is on point. Their food is served fresh and tasty, and they had a nice, relaxing atmosphere. Grab a drink, catch up with locals, and watch a ball game from their high definition screens. The service is prompt and friendly, and you will definitely want to come back. Highly recommend.“
“The avocado blt was awesome. Pretty good air filtration for smoking a cigar. That can be a big issue with some places. 15$ cut fee at first was questionable but i get it, its nice not to have a bunch of bums coming in and not spending just to smoke. You could also just buy a cigar for a little over 20 and that counts.Love when a bartender can read your body language when you want to have a conversation and when you don't.Will def be coming back.“
“I always have great time here when the music is playing. Every band that plays here is fantastic and all the days the Grateful Dead bands play is always a spiritual experience. Josh's Kitchen in the back is some of the most amazing food you will ever eat in a bar. ?The secret needs to be let out. Get there and enjoy. Say hi to the owner Jon if he is there. A wonderful guy.“
“So every time we go to Caffe Anello, we seem to have a "best ever" moment. Like "this was the best we ever had". The other night it happened again. The tomatoe soup appetizer was honestly amazing and the best we've ever had. But its also the little things. the olive oil is the best ever. the meatballs are the best ever. And the rest of our meal was fantastic. the artichoke appetizer, salmon and dirty pork chop were all really well prepared. And the service is always the best ever. But what makes it so special is that whenever we walk in the people there make us feel like family. It feels like Sunday dinner at home. All combining for a "best ever" dining experience.“
“Great staff, a wonderful rotating selection of tapped craft beers, best bar pies in Fair Lawn, all topped off by a cast of regulars that call themselves "Stoshanauts."Definitely is a must visit if you're down for a bar that's above being a dive, but not pretentious with real cool people that frequent the place.Parking: There's a few spots in the main lot of the place, but one can park in the office building lot across the street or at the gas station next door without any worries of being towed or ticketed.“
“I go for breakfast with my fellow Mama's who are sneaking away for this precious time, and the service is always great and quick to accommodate special asks!!! The food is always just what we need and tasty. Whether we are crying over coffee or laughing over coffee, we are never made to feel rushed. I like walking in and feeling welcome...“
“After wandering the beautiful Ringwood manor property I had a craving for Buffalo chicken wrap. We saw the rating of Characters and walked in. It was St Patrick’s day. The bagpiper was entertaining and it was full. Yet the servers were gracious and caring and patient l. We couldn’t get our Buffalo wrap as it was a special menu but we enjoyed the thin crust, most delicious Buffalo chicken pizza. The bread was warm and soft. We had a lovely evening. Try this place.“
“Great spot to have a few drinks with buddies and play some pool or darts. Gives off a "local" spot and doesn't attract to many college aged kids. Typically the audience is 30 and up, though being in my mid twenties, I don't feel out of place. Basically the go to spot for a low key evening. Sometimes live music mixes things up.Docked 1 star as one of the pool tables could use a refresh and the live music is a bit too loud for the size of the space.“
“Great place located in a busy strip mall in the middle of wyckoff. It's in the same shopping center that has Marshalls on one end and sbux on the other. Kids always love this place and staff is always super friendly and smiling. Never had a bad meal .Food is always pretty quick and the drinks have a decent pour. Happy to have this establishment in the middle of town!“
“This bowling alley has it all! Super big screen TVs so you don’t miss a game as you play your game. Great staff that are friendly and make you feel welcome. The food is surprisingly really good - try the drunken parm! Full bar and full of high energy, love this place! Also, how cool is it that they have legit pinball games.“
“This is the churro dessert! Everything in this place is amazing. Food is fresh. Guac is delicious and the chicken is lean and tender. The steak has this amazing char-grilled taste. The kids menu has real food. Not the frozen stuff. It's a hidden gem. The waitresses are so wonderful. The Sunday waitresses (girls) are gems. Love this place. Very family oriented.“
“Had a great evening at the Shannon Rose. Their monthlong celebration of St Patrick’s day and the Irish cuisine were just what we needed on a cold, rainy day. And our server Misty was a genuine pleasure to deal with. Excellent recommendations on both food and drinks.“
