It’s a BYOB restaurant, and if you don’t bring your own, you can have wine delivered from a nearby wine shop with no delivery fee, which is a nice convenience. Overall, I had a great dining experience and would definitely come back.“

“Had a fantastic dinner at Allendale Social last Saturday. We especially enjoyed the Korean fried chicken and the heavenly miso cheesecake—both standout dishes.

The candlelit room created a beautiful atmosphere, and the live music added just the right touch.

A special shoutout to our server, Charles. Knowledgeable and friendly, he guided us through the menu with thoughtful recommendations and paced the evening perfectly.

“We ordered the boneless wings, sliders and chicken wraps. All were very tasty. The drinks came out fast and cold. The hostess tried to sit us at a dirty table, bench seat had oil and crumbs and table had crumbs and sauce all over. Made her change tables, she did not seem happy. Our waitress was awesome she made up for lazy hostess. Overall we will be back.“

“We came for a saturday brunch and it was nothing short of excellent. The manager greeted us and we had some drinks at the bar. The bartender gave us some great recommendations for the menu and the owner even came over to us and introduced himself which was very nice. We got the meatballs, rockshrimp and calamari, lobster guacamole, and burrata which were all incredible and great shareables for us. 5/5 and will definitely be back.“

“Stefan the new chef has a wonderful restaurant here with fantastic delicacies to choose from. Standouts are his Tuna sushi on rice cakes with caviar. Amazing. Also the steak frites with truffle fries and the tuna carpaccio...just wow. Stefan also had a delicious tapas served as appetizers a few weeks ago with anchovies and other types of seafood served on toasted baguettes. He is friendly and engaging and a great addition to the Ho-Ho-Kus dining scene. Bought St Eves from the previous owners about 2 years ago. Go and Enjoy!“

Twice, recently, I dined at I'l Fresco with friends and family members; The words they used to describe Il Fresco were: -Fabulous - dinner was scrumptious -Phenomenal restaurant and staff -Tastiest sauce in the world - delicious hot bread out of the oven. -An Exceptional dining experience. -Amazing homemade tiramisu - wonderful desserts -Best meal ever - better than the meals I had while visiting Sorrento, Italy. From my cousin who went back to Belfast, Northern Ireland: I am keen to get back to visit again and hopefully we can visit the fantastic restaurant again, can't remember the name otherwise it would be getting a 5 star from me. “I used to live in nyc. Since moving to jersey years ago, i have been looking for a place that does Falafel and gyro platters the new york way. This spot is exactly that and no other spot compares! Ive tried so many disappointing falafels in jersey. This one was perfect! Exactly the same as my fav cart in NYC. I used to have to go to nyc when i craved this so im so happy i no longer have to make that journey. Manhattan Halal Gyro has to be one of the most underrated restaurants in northern jersey. The team was friendly and lovely. The prices were insanely good! The quality was perfect. Good vegetables and loved the grilled onions on the platter. The sauces were exactly what they were supposed to be and the falafel was so perfect - soft but crunchy - exactly what i love in a good falafel.

This also tastes the same as the falafel i get when i visit family in the middle east.

“We have been shopping here as our main grocery store pretty much since it opened. While it is a smaller Whole Foods, it tends to have a good stock of a good variety of items, both fresh and packaged. It is generally clean (with one exception, see below) and most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is an Amazon Locker here, so you can get your Amazon packages delivered to this locker, do your shopping, and then pick up your package all in one trip. There are a two issues I very much wish they would fix. For one thing, the restrooms are consistently not clean. This is a suburban store and doesn't get the volume of customers that an NYC store gets, but they don't seem to be able to keep the restrooms in good order. My other issue has to do with what they choose to stock in a couple of categories. The first is orange juice. I always look for organic orange juice not in a clear container (so as not to compromise Vitamin C). I just want organic orange juice in an opaque container the way it comes -- not pulp-free, not extra-pulp, not with Vitamin D added, etc. They never stock this. My other stocking issue has to do with ice cream. They have all kinds of interesting flavors, several kinds of dairy-free options, etc. but I just want a pint of premium, organic vanilla ice cream, straight up. This can sometimes be found but often they don't have it on the shelf even though they carry all kinds of great brands that would offer it. If only this store remedied these two issues, they'd be five stars for sure!“
