“We came for a saturday brunch and it was nothing short of excellent. The manager greeted us and we had some drinks at the bar. The bartender gave us some great recommendations for the menu and the owner even came over to us and introduced himself which was very nice. We got the meatballs, rockshrimp and calamari, lobster guacamole, and burrata which were all incredible and great shareables for us. 5/5 and will definitely be back.“

Stopped by this bar for their open mic night, and WOW — the energy was unreal from start to finish. You could feel the mix of raw talent and pure passion in every performance, but the absolute highlight of the night was the band featuring Matthew Rapelye.

They didn’t just play music — they owned the room. Tight, dynamic, and completely in sync, with vocals and instrumentals that hit every note perfectly. The kind of performance that makes you stop mid-conversation and just listen. People were cheering, vibing, and completely locked in.

The atmosphere? Laid-back but electric. Great crowd, welcoming vibe, and the kind of place where you walk in a stranger and leave feeling like part of something.

If you’re even remotely into live music, open mic nights, or just discovering insanely talented artists before they blow up — this is the spot.

“Farm is a lovely restaurant. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Food is excellent. The menu is interesting, with plenty of options. We enjoy staying at the Hotel Nyack especially because there is an good restaurant on site. The bar is also excellent. Relaxed, but upscale, atmosphere.“

“Came in alone, ordered a beer and wings to go. Within a minute of sitting at the bar, a friendly bartender came to greet me and take my order. Another bartender came over shortly after to check on me. Very nice to be seen and appreciated. Great atmosphere to watch a game and great food. Thank you !“

“Enjoyable lunch experience“

“A welcoming experience if you are visiting the area. There was a bit of a wait (30min for 2) at 8pm, but I would say it is worth it. The atmosphere is just so homey and, well, tavern-y! The staff were very sweet to talk to while waiting outside, and we were served pretty quick as well.

I will say that $20+ for one burger is a bit absurd, but that’s how they get you with the tourist prices. The Smokehouse was perfect however, and I’m still craving the wild-boar disco fries. Come wait here instead of Horsefeathers!“

“Taco Thursday’s! Who doesn’t like a taco? Food is very fresh and best Mexican food around. Margaritas are made fresh with squeezed limes not a mix. One of my favorite places for Sunday breakfast! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming.“

Twice, recently, I dined at I'l Fresco with friends and family members; The words they used to describe Il Fresco were: -Fabulous - dinner was scrumptious -Phenomenal restaurant and staff -Tastiest sauce in the world - delicious hot bread out of the oven. -An Exceptional dining experience. -Amazing homemade tiramisu - wonderful desserts -Best meal ever - better than the meals I had while visiting Sorrento, Italy. From my cousin who went back to Belfast, Northern Ireland: I am keen to get back to visit again and hopefully we can visit the fantastic restaurant again, can't remember the name otherwise it would be getting a 5 star from me. “Slid in right before closing — not exactly the ideal way to walk into a wine bar. But the bartender welcomed us like we'd been regulars for years. That kind of warmth at the end of a long shift says a lot about a place.
The wine was excellent. Exactly what you want from a spot like this — well-curated, well-poured, no complaints.
Didn't get to try the food this time but it's already on the list for next visit. If the kitchen matches the hospitality, this place is going to be a regular stop.

“The Tapp is the quintessential local bar. The staff are very friendly, the burgers are phenomenal (as is everything else on the menu), and the prices are more than reasonable. If you find yourself in Tarrytown for shopping or seeing a show at The Music Hall, make a stop at The Tapp a part of the experience. Better still, make the trip just to visit The Tapp alone. It really is a great place to hang out with friends, catch a singer, play Tuesday Night Trivia, or have a terrific meal.“

“We haven't been in a couple of years. We had our daughter's wedding at the Hilton in 2022 and the food was always excellent. We especially remember one of their signature dishes , the short ribs. I don't know if it was a bad night, they changed the recipe or changed the chef, but it was nothing like we remembered. Too bad, very disappointing.“
