“When you travel, you seek to find outstanding restaurants. Sometimes you win, other times, you don't. The Hudson House is a great find, a winner at every turn! From our initial greeting by the owner, Matt, to the great staff who didn't miss a beat, to the most critical part, the food, there wasn't a moment of regret. We started with a couple of tables shares. We had cheese plate with 3 cheeses, homemade fig jam to die for, fresh thinly sliced honeycrisp apples, delicious grapes, and an oil-infused crustini. Perfect start, followed by the burrata and pumpkin seed salad with carmelized pears and sweet potato chunks. I didn't think it could get better after this. I tried the sweet potato and fennel soup, very warm and hearty on a cold night, and the taste was just as I hoped! A beet and farro salad with radishes hit the mark! My partner had a fresh halibut that was cooked to perfection, served on ramen noodles and baby bok choy, with an array of fresh mushrooms, with a gentle but flavorful broth, but not enough to be called soup. To me, one of the best fish dishes I've tasted in a long time. Our guests, the wedding couple, ordered duck breast confit, and hanger steak. The duck, one of her favorites, was tender, most, cooked properly and seasoned well. It was a hit with her and her mother. The hanger steak was the choice of the groom, a very picky eater. He couldn't stop reaching about how amazing it was! Sadly, we were so full, we couldn't eat dessert. All the desserts are homemade by the owner, and they sounded unbelievable. But I'll have to return another time to speak to them. Finally, ask to sit in the jail cell. The pictures tell only some of the story. It's a wine cellar, a hidden romantic getaway, a reprise of days long gone. Or have a seat at the bar with the locals. Or just come and see the beautiful tin ceiling and walls. No matter what you do here, you won't be disappointed.“
“We tried the Zinger & Hella Juicy burgers, Fries with Garlic sauce and Spicy Fries. We were amazed with the quantity and quality of food.Topped it up with Fried Orio ice cream, again absolutely on spot.It is a small takeout place with a 10 seating spots. After tasting the food I wasn’t surprised to find that the owner is a five star banquet chef with very high aspirations.“
“Went for a nice breakfast. Tara was very nice and attentive and quick turnaround on the food. Eggs were good and had flavor. Home fries were properly cooked and delicious, and the waffle had a crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. Will definitely recommend but they only accept cash payment.“
“Was absolutely awesome. Had the best experience here. The staff was great, they were very attentive.The food was amazing and atmosphere was super fun. The music was really good. They had a mix and it made it more enjoyable to listen to.My friend and I had the Potato Skins and the French Onion Soup ? for appetizers and later we both had burgers. She had a cheese burger and I had the Mushroom Swiss both came with fries.The portions were very nice. Perfect to be exact in my our opinion. I would definitely consider coming back here with friends and family.
