“The outdoor courtyard is spacious and lovely. This is an ideal outdoor dining spot. Dishes are well prepared. The shortfall is that the staff - wait staff, servers, and other support staff - are entirely untrained (or so it seems). Really frustrating since the rest of the experience is very good. Please train your staff properly!“

“i’m here to tell you the hype is true. The burritos are so freaking good. The sauce is immaculate. I always ask for extra sauce. My favorite is the sausage burrito and the bacon. I usually get both and eat half-and-half and split it with my partner. lol

I usually travel all the way to Brooklyn for a similar type of burrito (santos) and I’m so happy to have found this gem uptown nyc!! (no pic because burrito was inhaled)

“The food at Home frite White plains it's delicious. It's not just another burger joint. They have amazing combinations of chicken sandwich and hot dog options. My favorite is their Chilli dogs called the dirt dogs. Absolutely delicious. Nashville hot chicken and their BBQ chicken is my next favorite and offcourse their burgers are always on point. Buttery, fresh ground beef and offcourse toasted brioche buns. My coworkers favorite lunch spot Home frite White plains!!“

“The food is really good. My go-to is the quinoa salad with grilled chicken or the grilled cheese with tomato soup. The salad is very refreshing and delicious and the grilled cheese with tomato soup just warms the soul. Their drinks will do what it needs to do lol. “My girlfriends and I was just at Moderne Barn last night. It was my first time eating here. I have to say the overall environment was very friendly, welcoming, beautiful. By the way I love the chandeliers. We sat upstairs - very nice area. Plenty of people eating here. The food and drinks I may add is very delicious. I had salmon and white wine and sangria. Have to say no complaints. The staff very very nice and friendly. Highly highly recommend. Thank you Moderne Barn for a lovely ladies night out!“

“I had a fantastic experience here on Beekman Ave. Everything we ordered arrived perfectly prepared and tasted delicious. The burger was served in a fun checkered paper basket and the crispy fries were seasoned generously with fresh green herbs.

We finished the meal with a decadent slice of chocolate cake topped with a perfect swirl of frosting and a side of ice cream. It was a wonderful treat. I cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu.“

They have a lunch and breakfast menu and for a Monday, there were plenty of people going in and out - a sign that it's a great spot with locals.“

“I first visited this restaurant when they opened in 2016. A decade later, I happened to be visiting the area and stopped off here for lunch with my boyfriend. I can honestly say this place hasn't lost their touch.
The restaurant is dark and cozy with a fireplace in the back, making it a perfect spot for a romantic dinner or nice lunch. The servers are all well-versed in the menu items and oyster selection. The restaurant usually has some great specials that are always worth trying out.
This visit was somewhat brief so we only got mains. The special of the day was swordfish. They offer the option to choose your prep style so we each got the swordfish; I tried the lemon butter sauce and my boyfriend got the red pepper sauce. Both were perfectly prepared and delicious. We also shared a side of the grilled asparagus which was perfectly cooked.
A solid 10/10. Highly recommended for any foodies as this place also has some fantastic non-seafood options.“

“We came for a saturday brunch and it was nothing short of excellent. The manager greeted us and we had some drinks at the bar. The bartender gave us some great recommendations for the menu and the owner even came over to us and introduced himself which was very nice. We got the meatballs, rockshrimp and calamari, lobster guacamole, and burrata which were all incredible and great shareables for us. 5/5 and will definitely be back.“

For apps we had oysters- was really good but would love if they would add a mignonette. For my main course though the red snapper was FANTASTIC. And the chicken martini was also fantastic. We didn't stay for dessert but will certainly be back, the service was very kind and attentive. The ambiance was nice with the view of the fountain.“

Personally fries were bit heavily seasoned but if you enjoy your salt, it is good! Very flavorful.

“Slid in right before closing — not exactly the ideal way to walk into a wine bar. But the bartender welcomed us like we'd been regulars for years. That kind of warmth at the end of a long shift says a lot about a place.
The wine was excellent. Exactly what you want from a spot like this — well-curated, well-poured, no complaints.

I think they need to apply insecticide to all the drains and clean them thoroughly, and not to leave wet towels because that could attract them.“

“I highly recommend Vibes Kitchen on East Gun Hill Road in the Bronx! A special shout-out to Chef Andre for catering my sister’s Home Going service repast. During such a difficult time, he provided exceptional delicious food and service that brought comfort to our family and guests.

The food was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned, the curry goat was tender and flavorful, the fried chicken was crispy, juicy, and delicious, and the ackee and saltfish was authentic and well prepared. The Escovitch fish was outstanding, the rice and beans and spinach rice were cooked to perfection, the fried plantains were sweet and delicious, and the freshly steamed vegetables were the perfect complement to the meal.

Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful everything tasted. Thank you, Chef Andre and the entire Vibes Kitchen team, for your professionalism, kindness, and for helping make my sister’s celebration of life so memorable.
