We had a 7:30 p.m. reservation, but after waiting 20 minutes past our time, we still weren’t seated. The restaurant was extremely crowded, and when I asked the hostess—explaining I’m pregnant—she was unsure how much longer it would be and, frankly, didn’t offer much support. After being told we’d still have to wait, we canceled and walked across the street to a different restaurant.
