I Love Tawara Mart. It's such a great find to have an authentic Japanese market nestled in the main street of Ramsey. They have just as good a variety of Japanese foods, snacks, & food ingredients. They even rival dare I say exceed in variety of Japanese goods from purses, toys, stickers and more. I once had a nice conversation with the store owner, I believe her name was Kiko; she regularly travels back & forth to Japan to get the latest and greatest from back home so you know it's legit. More people need to discover for themselves this great little slice of Japan right in the heart of Ramsey.

After returning to the states from living in japan for 6 years, this little place was like a blast from the past! EVERYTHING from the music to the coffee to the chu hair’s reminded me of Japan!

First let me say I usually love this place. However, today was another story. They only had 1 plain Inari. I asked if they could make a few more. They said come back in 10-15 minutes - no problem. I spent over a $100 & waited. It got busy so I took a walk. Returned 25-30 minutes later & asked to check on my order. The girl checks & they say 10-15 minutes. What exactly did I wait 30 minutes for. I left & am considering never returning. How rude ! ! - no explanation , nothing just wait forever we'll get to you when we feel like it , thanks for your patronage.
