LOVEEE this place so much. the food the service and the atmosphere is always positive and uplifting. the food is absolutely delicious and well made. I have the most amazing avocado toast- both with and without poached eggs- at least once a week. I have brought all of my friends that visit Ramsey to Mindful and they absolutely love it, no complaints at all. Additionally, this place is a great study area. I love coming here to get some work done. everything about this place is amazing ! 10/10 i recommend this place to everyone !

I went to the Mindful café once a few weeks ago and now it’s almost a daily occurrence. The matcha is my favorite thing i’ve ever tasted! Totally recommend.

I can’t love this place anymore. Yes the coffee is amazing, the food and daily specials ,smoothies are INSANELY good, etc. BUT the reason I love this place so much is the whole family friendly vibe , a local business that’s apart of Ramsey means everything to me, especially that we are in the age of soulless chain establishments at every turn in New Jersey and the rest of America. This place is a Gem. On any average day friends are reuniting over a coffee & lattes , deals are being done from people working remotely while sipping espresso’s. This is the place I feel more at home then my home. Thank you my Mindful peeps!

Despite what others say staff has been always kind and friendly during my stay. During my visit today I witnessed it being very busy. One of the ladies kindly asked if I can wait 15 minutes and I said sure. I also witnessed customers being inpatient and not understanding when there were only 2 workers. After the wait the girl asked me are you ready to place an order. I got their breakfast avocado toast which was delicious. Due to the high volume of orders they sure made my breakfast toast fast, others around me seem to enjoy their meal too. Very warm and welcoming as always .

I’m sitting in here now feeling compelled to write. I have come here a good amount, as I live in town and often need a spot for coffee and food where I can do some work on my laptop. The food isn’t the problem, mainly 3 stars for that, and the spot is decorated so nicely to try to make you want to sit in here and enjoy, however whenever I am in here, many times, unless I wear headphones I just spend the entire time listening to the staff complain. About everything. Even talking about how little they get paid. I’m sorry but that makes me not want to spend my time here, if that’s what I have to listen to. I was curious so I read through some of the other negative reviews and every time someone had mentioned the staff making them feel unwelcome or uncomfortable, the owner responds in defense. No, there is something wrong here. Your staff should not be making me feel like this. This doesn’t feel like the cozy, friendly, healthy hometown option that it should be - I feel like I’m putting them out by being here and they make me feel dumb somehow almost every time I order something or ask a question. They hardly look at you when you approach the counter. They talk about being too busy and while I do feel for them, because I’m sure they are and it’s stressful, it shouldn’t be what the customers listen to while they try to relax with a coffee. Unfortunately to say I’d rather go sit at Starbucks in town they are SOOO welcoming.

Healthy, scrumptious food - will cater to your food sensitivities. For instance, I ordered the bacon and shiitake mushroom avocado toast over greens instead of toast. It was so good. I also recommend the special omelette, pictured below!
The array of bottled and canned drinks along with all their coffee and tea options is unique for any place within 100 mi. Wonderful personal Care items with essential oils (lotions, body butters, perfumes, soaps, bath salts, candles.) and a great place to pick up gifts for the special people in your life.
Even though I moved further away to Rockland County I still make the effort to come back to mindful Cafe a few times a year!! Ample parking in the back and close to the bike trail! Outdoor seating available also! Also a couple of big tables in the back for meetings!

Nasty bland food, nasty workers. What a waste of space in downtown Ramsey. Very unwelcoming feel despite not looking that way from the outside.

Best avocado toast I ever had! The Sunnyside up egg was cooked to perfection. Tasty avocado mash with great flavor. The toast was fresh and had a very nice crunch to it. I was able to sit outside and enjoy the weather while I ate. Lastly, the ladies working were sweet and informative, taking pride in thier work definitely showed in the dish they delivered! I can't wait to bring my husband here to try it out!

My go-to spot for coffee and clean eats! The vibe is warm and inviting, the staff is genuine and friendly, and the food is delicious. My favorites are the gf brownies, avocado toast, and farro bowl. Enjoy!

We were looking for a healthy breakfast spot and unfortunately ended up here. Despite the impression the name or setting might give, there were no genuinely healthy options on the menu — everything was carb-heavy, and there wasn’t even fresh juice available.

When we asked about the lack of healthy choices, the two women at the register seemed to mock our concern, which was both unprofessional and off-putting. Since we didn’t have time to find another place, we settled on eggs without bread, served over salad. The salad was just plain bagged greens without any dressing, and the mushrooms were dry and flavorless. When we asked for dressing, one of the staff members simply said, “Oh, that comes with no dressing,” as if that made sense.

The coffee was equally disappointing — bitter and low quality. Overall, the food and service were both a letdown. We wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and would rate it zero stars if that were possible.

A delightful café. It’s so rare nowadays that I place an order and expect it to be as delicious as if I were sitting in a little boutique spot in San Francisco—and yet that’s exactly what they delivered.

Everything was so carefully packaged. When I opened up the wrap, it wasn’t soggy at all. You could feel the care and attention: nice thick chunks of avocado, juicy sweet tomatoes, but arranged in a way that didn’t make the wrap fall apart. The tempeh, the veganaise, the coffee—it was all delicious. The presentation, the little dressing, the cute little stickers… the whole thing felt like a small piece of love.

And as a vegan, I’m honestly thrilled. It’s rare to find a breakfast place where I have real options—things that are actually flavorful, nourishing, and satisfying. There were a couple of great vegan choices, and it was the kind of meal where your non-vegan friends would wish they’d ordered what you’re having.

The iced oat milk latte with vegan syrup was also perfectly balanced—flavorful, not too sweet, and really well done.

The only downside? I’ll be ordering from them all the time now. This place is a hidden gem.
