IL Forno a Legna - Raritan

Visited twice, both times ordering the fried calamari appetizer which was rubbery. Entrées are good. Serve only regular coffee, no decaf and no espresso. Also no bread for the table. Will try other places before I go back here.

I don't usually write reviews of any kind. However, the Chicken Francese served at Il Forno A Legna - Raritan was superb!!!!! The chef deserves a 5 star rating and a raise!

Horrible. Restaurant was super hot!!! Waited 45 min for a sub par appetizer. Ordered chicken parm got veal parm that I could barely cut with a butter knife. Asked for a steak knife but got a fork as the waitress no speak English!!! AVOID THIS RESTAURANT!!!!

I have been here about 6-8 times now. The pizza is fantastic. That’s why I keep coming back but the service is awful. I can recommend the pizza but please go

The pizza sauce is very sweet, it was too sweet for me, so the 3 stars. The dumplings were just fried raviolis, and they weren't very good either.

We've dined at il Forno numerous times and have loved every meal. Portions are large and delicious, and you are never rushed.

Last weekend, we had the il Forno pizza truck for our son's rehearsal dinner and it was outstanding! They served a variety of delicious pizzas and just kept them coming for 2 hours. Service was perfect, there were many compliments from guests, and no one left hungry!

I would highly recommend them for any event!

Beautifully redone restaurant- inviting and cozy. Food was excellent- we ordered a variety of different items to share- pizza, pasta, 2 appetizers, and a garlic shrimp bread bowl that was fantastic. Very pleased and will be back-

Parking: Even if you can't find a parking spot on the street right in front, you can park on the side streets or just walk a short block. Raritan is a safe town to walk in.

A throwback type of restaurant...
Found this place walking around town for ice cream... Definitely a ?. From a restaurant, these are the best meatballs and sauce that I've had... and I'm a guy that used to dine on Arthur Ave.
Chef makes the meals from scratch per order.
It takes some extra time from what you're used to, but it's worth it!
Bring your own bottles or liquor. Def a mist try for everyone who loves Italian food

If you want 5 star in a low key spot.. this is it!

I was visiting for the weekend and by far one of the best Italian food places I went to.

The atmosphere was awesome, and the host was so welcoming and wonderful.

Next time I will have to make sure to bring the wine ?
