Food was good. Steak cooked perfectly. Service was good overall but dragged a bit at the end. Definitely going back
The restaurant provided great food and service. I appreciated their attention to detail with presentation and recommendations.
The food was pretty average. Not bad by any means, but I was expecting better. I've had a better ribeye at The Capital Grille. The ribeye here was excessively fatty, even for a ribeye. Not the best cut, not great quality. Our server was very aloof and I did not like his attitude at all. Just another steakhouse, nothing special at all.
Always enjoy our time at Char. We always request our server Anthony. He provides top notch service and has truly become a friend through the years. Definitely our favorite steakhouse!!!
Lamb chops were delicious. Ribeye steak cut like butter! Mushrooms were excellent. Drinks were yummy.
Wonderful experience and our server was great. Enjoyed the entire experience from start to finish.
I had an outstanding meal with a best friend who previously raved about Char. He was absolutely right! Every aspect was excellent; I can't think of anything I would want to change. We'll definitely be returning.
It was our second time at Char and once again it did not disappoint. Very good food, excellent service, great ambiance.. I highly recommend!
Food was great, atmosphere was amazing. Service was the worst experience even in a restaurant of that caliber. Had to ask for water, only got 1 round of drinks. Had to constantly TRACK someone down for service.

so disappointed! We been here few year ago and it was great. We'll it has changed first people where dress like they where going a regular bar. Men in Hoodie sneakers and not stylish either. Our service was terrible our service Andrew we had to hunt down to get his attention. It was 4 of and in 2 hours we only got 1 drinking each cause he was busy on his phone or running around telling everyone else what to do. We only got water 2 times cause we asked. We still tip him 20% but did tell him how bad the services was his excuse was short staff. Only thing good was the food! But we won't be back!

Appetizer, and chop salad were excellent. The tomahawk ribeye was flavorful, but very thin! You picture a big thick juicy steak especially for that price. You could buy a better steak at Costco’s
I was actually treating myself tonight as a celebration and ordered the cold Seafood Tower with a warm lobster tail on the side. I could not have been more disappointed. I will never order from there again.
I just wish I would have read all the reviews first because it doesn't seem like mine is unique. Horrible feedback about this place
My daughter is 17 years old, went to this "restaurant" and about 12 hours later she was so sick, she had a terrible case of food poisoning. I had to take her to the hospital. They informed me bad oysters can kill a person. It was a very scary experience. This establishment clearly does not know how to handle food properly. Char steakhouse could have killed my kid! Eat at your own risk. I wouldn't eat here if I was paid to.
Every single bad review about this place is completely accurate. I went home and 4 hours later had an upset stomach and felt sick. Which I see many other people experienced the same thing. As someone who eats at a steakhouse weekly (see my other reviews for steakhouses) I wouldn’t even consider this a steakhouse. $300 for dinner with not one drink and a absolutely horrific meal should be a crime and this place should have a “closed” sign on it. The atmosphere is terrible. It feels like you are in a modern Chinese buffet and not a steakhouse. The waiter stand is right out in the open and they watch you eat the whole time. It doesn’t feel private or secluded at all.
Our waiter was okay. Not very informative or helpful, very quiet and didn’t seem to care much.
Now the food. We did not have one good thing. The oysters which they claim were Kumamoto’s were definitely not that. The lobster dumplings were completely tasteless. I feel bad the lobsters had to die for that. The tuna tartare tacos were also terrible. Tasted like there was too much cilantro in them?
For dinner we had a ribeye, a filet mignon, the kung pao brussel sprouts, and the potato gratin.
The ribeye had way too much seasoning. “High quality” “prime, dry aged” cowboy ribeye was the quality of a ShopRite steak ( I’ve had better at Applebees). Way too salty and whatever else the seasoning was way overpowered. It’s also small for a $70 steak compared to other steakhouses. The filet was also not great. I had a better steak from a breakfast restaurant as “steak and eggs”.
I’m going to be honest, I would not feed the potato gratin to a feral cat. It was 110% frozen and reheated. It was horrible. Not even edible. It’s sad that the best thing I ate was the kung pao brussel sprouts and that is not saying much.
The atmosphere is not good. The place feels dirty. It does not feel like a “high end” steakhouse they try to portray themselves to be. There is no luxurious or steakhouse feel to it. If they didn’t pay influencers to come give them rave reviews I’m sure they wouldn’t be in business as the restaurant was half empty on a Friday night at 7:00. This place is highway robbery for serving steaks and food at the equivalent of a Chili’s.

Got extremely sick after eating here on valentines day, no more than 12 hours later i was feeling nauseous and less than 24 hours is when the food poison hit me. couldnt eat or drink anything for 2 days and constantly throwing up. The managers here are complete jokes and waste of time. called then 3 times about it and all they did was hang up. This meal was definitely not worth $300 and definitely not worth the food poisoning, spent $300 just to get sick and ignored. 👏👏👏 And this is the worst wagyu strip ive ever had, i can go to shoprite, buy a better piece of meat and eat it without getting sick or ripped off. The manager here at the front desk is the most rudest and uncaring “worker” surprised he still has a job let alone this business.
