“My family wanted indian after apple picking and we couldn’t find a place until I looked up Indian and found them. It said 5 stars and the ratings were not wrong. This restaurant was absolutely amazing. The food was excellent and there were so many choices. All of the food was worth it. I’ve been to many Indian restaurants and this place is in my top 3. The owner is such an amazing, hardworking, and sweet woman. She told us her story about for 20 years she’s wanted to have a restaurant yet she took the time to support and take care of her kids. It was heartwarming. She also told us a story of a father and a daughter who were starving and came to the door after close hoping they didn’t close yet. The chefs left, but she didn’t want them hungry. She still let them in and she cooked dinner for them and didn’t let them pay. It was for free. She expresses how being able to give food is a blessing and the biggest reward is being able to give food for people in need and feeding the people. She deserves this restaurant. Not only is she an amazing woman, but the bigger plus is the food is absolutely amazing. The naan, aloo papri chaat, chicken tikka masala, lamb rogan josh, lamb tikka masala, paneer tikka masala. All of it was amazing and so flavorful. For the spice levels my brother and I got medium and my parents got medium plus and the spice levels were perfect.”

“Been a customer for twenty years. Solid BYOB Italian restaurant with a veteran staff. Owner and general manager are always present. Ownership changed 9 years ago. Very good fresh pastas. I’m totally a fan of their main marinara sauce. Sometimes I’ve asked for it on the side. My wife and I have liked the seafood pasta panadora. I tend to order a lot of salads and I’ve tried most of them. My favorite is their chopped salad ($18). Sometimes I get it with the chicken option. I really like their own salad dressing. It’s a little different. The Greek salad is really good too. The braised slow cook short ribs are very popular; a long time specialty item. Their lunch menu is very reasonable. Surprisingly good burgers and sandwiches. I’m particularly a fan of their tuna sandwich, with several variations. I have found the service to always be excellent. I noticed their bread has been outstanding. Owner said they invested in a new ovens from Italy✅ Their homemade carrot cake is excellent, and I’m fussy when it comes to carrot cake, my favorite😀 Great location in downtown Red Bank on Wallace Street, which is not busy. There is municipal parking nearby. Keep in mind you generally have to pay in Red Bank unless you’re willing to walk a bit. Also, a special mention goes out to special events. They’re particularly good at parties. They scale well to what the needs of the event. It can be simple to full sit-down dinner or buffet.”
“I hosted a family event at Via Sposito. Everyone was very pleased with our server, Jessica and the dining experience. The food was amazing and plentiful. We have dined there a few times prior to this and were always pleased with food. At our event everything was family style and there was a variety of food. The pizza and zeppoles were also great. They worked within our budget and offered a lot of choices.”
“I love buffalo chicken sandwiches and have gone as far as Philadelphia to get one. However, I recently tried a buffalo chicken sandwich at Nicholas. I was speechless…literally. My brain instantly went into survival mode trying to calculate how and why this sandwich was at least ten times better than any other buffalo chicken sandwich I have ever eaten. Not even a close second place. Game changing. Life changing. It’s like I knew nothing about buffalo chicken a moment before taking a bite. I was humbled instantly. Nicholas Barrel and Roost found the cheat code!”
“If I tell you how wonderful the place, the people, the plates are will you promise not to go? It’s hard enough snagging a reservation without hoards of people trying to book a table after reading justifiably rave reviews. OK, here goes. Agnolotti pasta and sweet potato hush puppies as appetizers to start and oh, what a start it was. Monk fish and a bacon-jam encrusted pork chop, both cooked to perfection, as entrees. Lemon tart and a you-gotta-try-it-once-in-your-life “budino,” for dessert. (Do you know stressed spelled backwards is desserts?) What’s a budino you ask? Adult pudding, whipped by angels, so addictive it must have been created by Satan. Farm to Table, fresh, sustainable, local, tucked away on a side street in Red Bank… and you get to bring your own favorite wine. Don’t go. Don’t tell your friends. Let this gem be all mine.”
“My wife and I had the 4 course dinner. Food was very good. We started with the Bacon and Brie Cheese Fondue. Pretzel bread was extremely good. For entrees, my wife had the land and sea, I had the steak. Everything came out good. I enjoyed cooking my own food at table. Everything came out good. We finished with cookie and cream fondue. This was very good too. Even dipped a little of the chocolate into my coffee for an enhanced taste. Our server was very good.”

“I’ve been a customer since they opened, and I still get excited when I sit down to a Love Bowl (tempeh and spicy peanut). The owners are dedicated, hardworking, and their food is delicious and satisfying. Updated from previous review on 2026-05-15”

“Best pizza and service!!! Amazing wings, salad, everything!!!”
“I was recommended to Cupcake Magician as I needed to order a cake for a rehearsal dinner and I do not live local to the Red Bank NJ area. I spoke to Danielle regarding what type of cake I would like. She took my order over the phone and was happy to deliver the cake to the restaurant, which is very close to the bakery. The cake was delicious, and we took home the extra and enjoyed it again the next day! I ordered a 9 inch vanilla layer cake with chocolate mousse filling and vanilla buttercream frosting. Highly recommend!”
“We found ourselves in the Red Bank area for an event and were looking for a late meal that wouldn’t break the bank. RB has a plethora of fantastic higher end restaurants but we were looking for quality at a good price and… we found it at Oriental Empire. Fusion offerings were pretty standard but the taste was amazing. Ordering the Pad See Ew and it was delicious, as good as I’ve had. Service was impeccable and a very relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend.”
“Terrific experience! Authentic Thai, family run restaurant. Everything was served with such hospitality, flavor, and generosity— true Thai style. I live in NYC where there is an over abundance of Thai places which can be hit or miss and I’ve always been so disappointed with the few Thai places I’ve tried in Jersey— typically they miss the mark with too much sugar or watery curries and are overpriced because of the scarcity of Thai options here. Spring rolls were so crispy and felt fresh made vs frozen. I opted simple for my kids and ordered grilled salmon— it was savory and flavorful on a bed of deliciously assorted tender vegetables. The salmon was served with a side of peanut sauce which I often find quite standard (aka bottled) HOWEVER this peanut sauce was chunky and not overly sweet, a tad of tang— definitely house made. Next up, I looove a good red curry and I WAS NOT disappointed , so creamy and flavorful with a perfect amount of spice that left a tingle but wasn’t too much to handle. Yummy crisp bamboo shoots, string beans, and peppers. I ordered with the snapper which I don’t see offered in many Thai places, so what a treat. It was served so crispy and hot before it soaked into the curry.
To note, they were closing for the night and truly were so kind to seat us… with that being the case, brown rice was the only option, I thought it would taste like cardboard. I was totally wrong— it was fluffy and grainy and flavorful, my kids asked for more! My husband had the Pad Se Eww and said it was on point— my little son a picky eater shared with him (sans veggies) and cleared his plate which said a lot! Terrific place, great for kids, low key, cozy and warm. Perfect for when you’re looking for a comfortable spot that’s not too upscale or overly pricey. Extra note, we did not order from the kids menu, but such wonderful kid options for those children that might not have the palate for Thai food. Extra bonus for the vegetarians or non meat eaters like me; they have mock duck on the menu which is always such wonderful option for those who know. What really made our experience special was learning that the family matriarch cooks everything herself with love— you can truly taste it. Such kind people— their touch permeated the flavors. Can’t wait to return! Thank you for a fabulous family Thai dinner!”
“Was just in the store yesterday and saw the amazing company Truffliest, which I love the truffle sauce. There’s an amazing selection of different various products as well as amazing fresh pasta and food ready to go. If you’re in the neighborhood in Red Bank, I would definitely recommend stopping by!”

“Visited Cluck U for the first time today- and they have a life long customer! Andrew had piping hot FRESH food to us in 5 minutes. While my husband and I were eating Andrew sat down and chatted with us about the history of the city, restaurant recommendations and even spoke to us about new facilities they’re building in the area. This morning was rough as we had issues checking into our hotel, but we are so glad that the first place we went to (suitcases in hand) was Cluck U. It easily turned our morning around. Thank you Andrew for the great food and pleasant conversation!”
“Just fabulous. I heard of Rook coffee frankly from Alix Earle on TikTok. Anyways I was in red bank and saw a sign and thought that might be that place she kept talking about.
I didn’t have high expectations or anything but I was curious. And it is fabuloussssss - the New Orleans cold brew! I had New Orleans cold brew in New Orleans and always try it black first. When I did it had a very licorice bitter taste. Rook advertised theirs as dark chocolatey and that is what it truly was. I could drink it black but then I added oat milk and it is divine. Love love love! Thank you Rook! Come to NYC 😘”
“My pork sandwich is always absolutely delicious! The quality is consistently excellent, and you can tell everything is made with care. The staff is incredibly friendly, courteous, and welcoming, which makes every visit a great experience. It’s a family-owned business with a fantastic selection of signature sandwiches, and after this one, I’m determined to try every single one on the menu. If you’re looking for amazing food and genuine customer service, this place is definitely worth a visit!”
“This is a typical Chinese takeout place with all the familiar dishes and lunch menu items at a typically fair price. Staff is friendly. I wish there wasn't a 10 dollar minimum for credit cards (who carries cash?) but that's not their fault. Food is exactly what you'd expect if you've ever had "hole in the wall" takeout before.”
“Had the Tricolore Salad with grilled shrimp today and it was DELICOUS!!!! Dad has the poke bowl and loved it. Service and atmosphere were great!”

“We had a great time with our family. Between burritos, enchiladas y tacos, we enjoyed the flavors and the elegance if their dishes. It offers great options for kids and vegetarian. I feel that the food can be less flavory that what people might expect but for me it was great for my paladar. My grandsons loved the nachos with beans.they also tried the Tamarindo, horchata and maracuya beverages I loved my burrito con carne asada and the coconut flan. Exquisite. They have parking available.”
“Originally was going to stop at Mr. Pizza Slice for some Pizza, but parking and traffic sucks as usual. Went to the West Side of Red Bank and stopped here. Selection is small but took a chance and had a slice from the pepperoni side and one from the plain side. Both were delicious, reminiscent of a typical North Jersey or New York slice. Plain - $2.00 Pepperoni - $3.00 Can of Diet Coke $1.00 Total = $6.00 Both slices folded nicely and are of a good size. Also, service was quick, oven hit enough to heat up to a hot temperature to allow you to enjoy. Recommend to all to give it a try!!!”
“I was picking up my mom’s birthday order and mine today. I’m so pleased! They called me in advance to let me know they were out of stock of part of my order. Very attentive. Then when I went there for pick up around 1:15pm today, a girl named (hopefully I heard it correctly) Carrie helped me with everything which was a relief because it’s my first time visiting this place. Great service! Thank you”
“We went here yesterday before a show at the theater... Food was outstanding great service and great ambience”

“The food is fresh and beautifully presented. Waitstaff is so helpful. The restaurant is immaculate. Our favorite restaurant. It is worth the hour and a half drive to get there.”
“I’ve been following along and making some of Adam’s recipes recently and am so happy with the results. In particular, the chorizo tostados are outstanding! The tofu chorizo is easy to make and so meaty and flavorful. The cabbage slaw was a huge hit and I’ve made that several times as a side to other meals. Adam doesn’t miss a detail, explains each step, is always funny, and the results are great!”

“My Uber Eats driver brought me the wrong food and did not listen to the restaurant employees. I called the restaurant and they were so kind. It was close to closing but they offered that I can still pick my actual order up even if they were closing down for the day. I was greeted very nicely and apologetically even though it was not their fault. The two girls at the front were great! I got my food and it was still hot and fresh. Great service.”
“The fresh ingredients, the unique flavors, the spice-level made-to-order and the hospitality make this one of New Jersey's best restaurants!”
