“I love buffalo chicken sandwiches and have gone as far as Philadelphia to get one. However, I recently tried a buffalo chicken sandwich at Nicholas. I was speechless…literally. My brain instantly went into survival mode trying to calculate how and why this sandwich was at least ten times better than any other buffalo chicken sandwich I have ever eaten. Not even a close second place. Game changing. Life changing. It’s like I knew nothing about buffalo chicken a moment before taking a bite. I was humbled instantly. No 5 star restaurant, but when looking for pub food with a TV in view regardless of where you are seated, this is the place.“

“I went to the Robinson Ale House on June 29, 2024. Service was excellent. The waitress was wonderful. My husband and I had lunch. I had a T-bone steak special , he had meatloaf. They were excellent. We had key lime pie for dessert. Really good too. We were seated outside on the side because we needed shade. Planning another trip in August. I can’t wait to try the Drunken Clams this time if it’s still on their menu. I hope I get the same waitress. If they still have the T-bone on their daily special I recommend you get that. I had mine medium rare. Quite pricey but well worth it. The rest of the menu is moderately priced. Good generous sized portions. Definitely recommend. 5 stars“

“Great vibe and excellent service. Place is in a little dicey of a neighborhood. There is no parking lot, you have to park on the main road or residential side streets. Pork chop was a 10. Steak tartare was a miss for me. It was over seasoned with some sort of dressing and it was ice cold. Usually it’s closer to room temperature. Roasted oyster app was delicious. Big miss for me was the deviled eggs. I love a classic deviled egg and this was far from it. I didn’t like the flavor or texture. My wife had fried shrimp po-boy while was very big. I tasted a shrimp from it and it was fantastic. A nice fresh shrimp and properly fried. I didn’t try the gumbo. But it was in a very thin broth. I personally enjoyed a thicker gumbo with lots of okra and roux. My wife loved the cocktails.“

“On an ordinary day, we go here for beers and a burger with cottage fries and always have the best time. I have to mention this weekend specifically though because we had our wedding after party here. The owner, Kevin, is truly one of the nicest people and always provides service with a genuine smile. He is courteous and made all of our family and friends feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our evening. Even in the busiest moments, Kevin and staff managed to be accommodating and attentive. Cannot say enough enough about this place, the family and the staff. Wonderful!“

“It's a small place but the food was amazing! I had the Caliente Cali burger. It was delicious! The chipotle Mayo was really good and their frys are amazing! Definitely will stop by again if I get the chance.

Parking: Good amount of parking, if it's busybitncould be difficult to find a place to park.“

“When reviewing their menu, we saw Birria Tacos and were immediately committed. Upon arrival we were a little alarmed that there was nobody in the restaurant! There are 2 other attached venues by same owners which had customers. But the lack of patrons was a bit of a red flag.

Our service started out with our server, Austin, telling us the drinks we wanted from the on-line menu were no longer available. But they tried to make a smoked cocktail for us first and realized they were out of smoker chips. Our large party of 8 mostly ordered Margaritas, which were decent and discounted on Tuesdays.

We ordered food including Nachos, Quacamole, Quesabirria and Birria tacos, as well as fish tacos and al pastor. The food was fresh and excellent!

We had a visit from an owner/manager as well as the chef. The staff helped us get the Phillies game on the table-side TV.

Overall, the highlight of the night was definitely the Birria, whose consommé was rich, flavorful and not greasy like some. Also the cheese level on the tacos was perfect, the meat was tender and flavorful and the fresh cilantro really made it all pop.

The second best feature of our visit was definitely the service.

My phone battery died before I could get pics of food, but the space is cool.

Highly recommend.

“❤️ Overview:
Came here in the late afternoon with a group of people and got two tables with umbrellas luckily! We got drinks, got food from the food trucks, and chatted! Super fun atmosphere with the live music and of course being on the beach. It was nice to be able to walk around in the sand with no shoes.

We decided to drive from the city, but if you don’t have a car or want to drive, you can take the Seastreak ferry straight to the Sandbox! Which is super convenient and neat!

“This is a wonderful place with a great vibe. A few weeks ago, we invited a bunch of friends to join us for dinner & celebrate a birthday. We enjoyed the delicious food & tapped our feet to the awesome music of a local band called The Fish Eyed Blues Band. We danced, ate, drank, & had a blast! Excellent, friendly service. Perfectly poured drinks with so many options to choose from. Although the menu is limited, the food was fresh & delicious. Our large group tried just about everything on the small menu but the picks that stood out were the Nachos with Chorizo, the Smash Burger with extras, the Ahi Tuna tacos (3) with Avocado, & the mouth watering, saucy Chicken Wings. The food and cocktails were delicious and everyone from the owner to the busboy was so sweet, fun, and helpful. “I went there for supporting a friend’s performance. He’s in the band & he’s playing that night. First time for me there, I thought it’s just for show performance. So I had dinner at the restaurant across the street. Therefore I cannot comment the food or service there, so don’t refer to that part. Just based on the atmosphere there & so many people crowded in, I believe the food & service must at least worth 4-star. Hahaha. Anyway, the band was amazing, the performance was loved by the audience. Surfing For Daisy is the band’s name. You can find them on YouTube too. They play great music! “Probably my favorite family friendly restaurant in all of New Jersey. Never had a bad bite. Service is always above and beyond accommodating and friendly, especially with young children. Food is priced reasonably despite the massive inflation we're all going through. The seasonal chicken pot pie is something I look forward to getting every year. They always have delicious and fun new specials. Most recently I tried their Thanksgiving meatballs with cranberry mayo dipping sauce and I was incredibly impressed. This place is a 10 of 10 every time. Oh and it also has stunning sunset views. If I didn't live almost 40 minutes away I'd be there way more often.“
